  "someone's in a good mood today," sooah mumbled, eyes pointing at me.

"who wouldn't be? the weather is really good today," i replied, spreading strawberry jam on a piece of toast before taking a huge bite of it. yummy.

"unnie, it's pouring rain outside"

my eyes glanced outside the window to see dark clouds and lightning flashing in a distance. oh. looking back at sooah, her lips quirked into a smirk.

"i wonder who's making my sister so happy..." she trailed off, tapping her chin with a finger. "could it be-"

i stared back at her with raised brows, stuffing her mouth with the piece of toast to shut her up. she hit her chest dramatically, pretending to choke on the piece of bread.

"i just had a good sleep last night" i defended myself, putting my hands on my hips. she should know who's the older sister here.

"bullshit. i saw you and jaemin giggling and smiling at each other weirdly," she said, emphasizing on the last word. "you were also texting non-stop last night," she continued, "are you two perhaps-"

"what?!" omma walked in confusedly, her hair wrapped in a towel. kill me already.

"hyung, can you stop sighing for a second?" jisung complained.

  we're currently in the recording studio, recording for our upcoming album. all we've been doing was revising our lines over and over since morning. who wouldn't be bored? i can't wait for this to be over already.

  "he's just upset that sooyeon isn't here," renjun muttered, making everyone snicker.

"shut up," i smacked his arm. how annoying. feeling a vibration in my back pocket, i immediately dug out my phone.

she was thinking of me! my fingers hovered on the keyboard, hastily typing a reply.

i slapped my cheeks harshly. why are they so warm? and why is my heart beating this fast?

"and- and i was like- oopsies," sooyeon said between giggles. she's been giggling nonstop, telling how she caught her boss eating the cookie batter.

we walked up the lonely road. it was dark and quiet, sooyeon's laughter filling the air. her hair were in braids, baby hairs framing her face. the typical sooyeon look. mainly because i always compliment her whenever she wears it. her cheeks were rosy red, probably from the cold.

"no-listen," she continued, before bursting into giggles again. her eyes crinkled and nose scrunched. i booped her on the nose, unable to resist how adorable she looked.

"hey are you even listening?!" she yelled, hitting my arm. ouch. i winced.

"did it hurt?" her eyes widened and her brows furrowed, her face covered in worry.

"what? when i fell from heaven?" i joked, earning an eye roll from her although her lips quirked up with a hint of smile.

  "woah! look, fireworks!" sooyeon suddenly gushed, her chin tilted up to the sky. colourful sparks decorated the dark sky. she looked so excited, so full of life. she clasped her hands together like a child, her pink lips slightly parted. so pretty.

  "isn't it pretty?"

  "yeah, it is"
