Detective finds that a certain person has been at the scene for a lot of accidents. Makes a thing out of finding him. Recognizes him while walking randomly one day and stops to wonder what he's doing, only to miss being in an accident her/himself. Of course, the 'person of interest' seems completely stunned by the person missing the accident. They end up alone and he explains that he knows when everyone is going to die, just by looking at them. He has made a career out of being a very exclusive hit man. When he sees that someone's death is close, he researches them to see if they have any enemies that might be willing to pay for a hit. Though he can sort-of save people, he doesn't do it on purpose because it creates another person who can see when people are going to die, as the detective now is. Further, there is some 'constant pain' involved with having saved someone that lasts until they finally do die. The detective asks who wanted her dead. Some plot develops from here.
