So gifted, so talented, a spiral of greatness
Yet why?
"Such a waste" they say without hesitation
"Truly disappointing" painful yet true
A star fell, shined then flickered away

Sitting in a chair completely motionless next to a canvas yet...
"This is enough" said lifeless and pure
over and over
"Just accept it" replied nonchalantly and instantly
again and again
Walking a staircase to the top but haven't you noticed your being crushed?
Do you continue or stop?

Their eyes are watching, their words reassuring,
So sweat and gentle
Yet why?....
In an instant they sting like needles, in an instant they make you panic
So harsh and painful
The moment you let go a billion eyes stare at you
To continue is to live with that fear
Hiding behind you, waiting to strike
Do you continue or stop?

Ever heard of geniuses?
So rare, so lucky, a circulation of beauty
Yet why?
"Is that it? Pathetic" do they think twice?
"It's better of replaced" how much more?
A flower bloomed, flourished, and wilted away

Sitting nobly with a paintbrush
In hand
Creating a work above "normal" to only satisfy their needs
"I'm happy" said in monotone and randomly
For-for what?
"I'm satisfied" replied to avoid any more
Is it true or a lie?
Watching the staircase fade since you stoped climbing but haven't you noticed
Your about to fall?

"In the past you could bring life to even the most surreal imaginations"
Was it all just in the past?
"Can't I take a break?"
You question and beg to no one
Do you continue or stop?
