Let Them Live (rap)

I’ve never heard of so much crying, people dying, it must be frightening for the kids
When they are left alone in a broken home with no one to give them hope coz their parents stopped fighting
You see I’ve never witnessed that before, I know you haven’t I’m sure
Crying 24/7, pregnant at 11 and eating off the floor
Witnessing your own mother, or maybe your brother, dying so slowly from dirty water only
And you’ve been drinking it too, so what becomes of you?
Living in fear my message is clear
There's no better time for giving, keeping them living, this is my statement and I'm making it here
Let them live

People plead for their lives, the least you can do is give them rice
How can you refuse to help them to survive
They would do the same for you, to them the purest gold is food
They need your help, please understand if not you them who?

I've said it once and now I'm saying it twice
They're gonna need our help to win this fight
Against mother nature and the government's favour of rich over poor coz the rich pay more
You see fireworks blazing on New year's Day
That's hundreds of pounds being washed away
So when the government says they're giving all they can, you know they're lieing and they need it bad
Kids on Christmas day, they get brand new toys, that's 15 pounds for one little boy
Now for kids in Africa it's not the same, they would even like clothes but it's a normal day
Now I'm not saying that your kids don't deserve it, just donate at Christmas I assure you it's worth it
To put a smile on over a thousand faces, 2 pounds a month is cheap for saving these places
This song is ending real fast, but I hope you listen to what I've asked
Coz these people are the ones who need our help
I'm Doing my part in defeating this hell
