The rest of the Christmas went well. There were no more kidnappings, everything was peaceful, well as peaceful as it can be. Mal is now six months pregnant, and Evie is about 7 weeks and is starting to show a bit.
"What do you say? Is that too much or perfect?" Evie asked showing a sketch to her best friend. Mal who was sitting on her desk, doing homework, didn't even look up and mumbled something like 'it's good' continuing to write something in one of her notebooks. "Hey, something wrong?"
"Nothing." the blue-haired girl gave her a look. "Fine! I think I'm starting to get too low grades. What if I don't graduate? What if I spend half of my life trying to get good marks?"
"Seriously, M? You are smart, creative and you definitely don't have to worry if you're going to graduate or not. And still Ben's the king, I mean it will be no problem for the administration to twist the truth a bit if the king asks, right?"
"E, the crown doesn't make you king or queen. It's what you do, and can you imagine the queen with fake grades?"
"Your point. Now, what do you get wrong?" Evie asked while moving her chair next to Mal's. "Maybe I can help."
"You know how I wanted a sister. Well, it feels like I do when I have you." Mal said and hugged Evie.
"Why am I crying?" the blue-haired girl asked.
"Welcome to the world of mood swings!" Evie giggled.
Meanwhile, Ben and Doug were chatting in the cafeteria.
"...And I mean, how is this happening to me? The love of my life is married to a person who decided to go on a 1-year world tour! And now, it's even more complicated when she got pregnant cause the baby will be born before Gil comes back!"
"I understand your situation. If there's anything I can help with, just tell me." Ben suggested. "Still, we know each other since we were like 2."
Doug sighed. "I wish I knew a solution but I don't," he said and bit his sandwich. There was a bit of awkward silence. Suddenly, Ben's phone started ringing.
"It's Mal," he said and picked up. "Oh, hey...yeah...of course...no, you're not even close to fat...yeah...okay, love you!" Ben looked confused. "She asked me to bring her some scrambled eggs with strawberry jam and tuna fish on top..." Doug chuckled. "You know that Evie is going to have cravings, too, don't you?" Ben said removing the smile off his friend's face.

The boy knocked on the girls' dorm. Mal opened. "Hi!" she said and gave him a quick kiss.
"Doing homework?" the girl nodded. "How about going out on a date?"
"Sounds..." Mal was about to say great but Evie cleared her throat and showed her best friend all the left work. "...pretty impossible at the moment."
"You sure you're fine with going to school, right now?"
"It's either now or when I'll have to care for a little crying object 24\7."
"Okay, how about moving back to my place?"
"Nah, I feel fine here."
"I'm just worried about you. I mean, you're six months pregnant." Mal looked at her stomach.
"So nice of you but I'm not made out of glass. I can do almost everything that a human can do."
"Okay okay, also don't wanna argue with you but pregnancy doesn't make you not a human."
"True but my mom was an evil fairy-dragon and my dad's a God. That makes me less than one percent human. Anyways, I meant that I can't drink but I can do almost everything else."
"Hey, sorry for ruining your talk but History is waiting for you Mal." the purple-haired girl sighed.
"I suppose," she said and took the food Ben was holding for the past few minutes. "See you later!"
"See you!" he said and they kissed.
"Now, let's do the history test!" Evie said opening the history book.
