A little song for big feelings

And the next days came so fast. It was a bit hard to process. Rockstar was only focused on one thing: perfecting his little song. He was thinking about this one time just,, too hard. I mean, it did feel like a very special and sudden event in his life somehow. I would be lying if I'd say he didn't have 1 or 2 dreams about having a duet with this stranger. He is just such a mess...

And that's why he thought, maybe writing a song would be therapeutic for his poor soul. Which he did start soon, he was fast with it. Well, when you're feeling this much...what is this feeling? He just...he can't figure it out. All he knows is that he feels a lot of it and that he has to get it out of his system.

As he finished his song, he asked for his homeroom class teacher's permission to sing it...which he does a lot by the way! It's a nice way to help students come out and explore their talents in a nice environment. And really, he isn't the only one doing it, he just does it the most.

He already prepared his guitar, tuned it. He is a bit nervous though, this is the first time he sings one of his OWN songs. The teacher, as in Black Mulberry (OC of mine) patiently waited for Rockstar to start, he did look back at the teacher for a second, she nodded, showing him a warm smile of hers. A kind of smile that says 'You can do it.' without actually saying a word.

The song starts very slow, with a short first verse

The song starts very slow, with a short first verse.

Lost in the dark
There was a spark
So bright, so divine
But no one saw

Then did only the most passionate parts arrive, really changing the vibe of the classroom.

What a shame!Who would have thought? It's a lot to figure out
You reach out, but you're blinded
A mystery in the dark
And I'm still searching

He went on a little, only playing his guitar. Then another short verse came, though more passionate this time.

I won't give in
I will find it
Your light calling
Always for me...

Then he continued, his tone only getting stronger and stronger as the vibe turned around in the classroom again, everyone was silent... Really unusual.

Enter the dark, don't fall apart
I'll join you in this place
Together we'll be bright!
Fusioned with this energy...
The partner I needed...?

What a shame!
Who would have thought?
It's a lot to figure out
You reach out, but you're blinded
A mystery in the dark
And I'm still searching

He finally finished, everyone was still silent in the class. Then someone in the back of the classroom started clapping. It was a face he knew yet... Then everyone else started to clap too. It wasn't much, but it felt like a lot for Rockstar. He couldn't help but smile and tear up a little. Then, a certain someone said something which once again, set a whole different vibe for the classroom.

"Wow, Rocky this sounded kind of gay from you"

A few people laughed, Rockstar was a bit taken back.

"Wait, why are you saying that?" he asked, kinda confused.

"It's a love song, isn't it?" a sassy girl jumped in the conversation from the back, it was Lime. She was smirking a bit, it's fun when she isn't the one getting teased.

"No, I didn't mean it to be one...I think? I don't think it is" then and there Rockstar has an existential crisis, I don't know how else to explain, not gonna lie. The realization hit him like how one can get hit by a zesty smash from Orange: aka really hard. What he wrote really does seem to be a love song... is this really what it is? But that sounds so silly, how can a person even fall in love with a voice? He doesn't even know who it was! If he only knew... Then he could see if he's really in love or not.

"So...who did ya write it to, Rocky?" the question playfully rang in the air, leaving Rockstar's face heating up a little.

"Well uh...it's a bit complicated" he laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck.

"Leave him alone, Lime, you shouldn't get into his private life like this" the girl beside Lime spoke, who was Orange.

"But...the tea"

"No, don't start"

"C'mon, chaos can be good"

"Lime, I swear to Millennial Tree"

"Like it's a good-"

"What I meant is I don't know who it is" Rockstar cut them off "And that's the end of discussion"

He then sat back in his seat, a little upset. Now the classroom felt a bit awkward. He heard some quiet 'How can someone not know who their crush is?' 'That sounded so stupid'. Rockstar couldn't help but feel anxious, angry and embarrassed. He only wanted to sing for them, he didn't wanna be also judged for what the song is. And he also said it's not a love song! Just because this... voice made him whole... made him feel like he went to heaven while still on Earth, and just how everything about it felt perfect and how just the thought gives him the...okay, maybe it IS a love song but...then to who? And how is he gonna find out? The class was about to end...

"Okay, lovelies, let's pack away and all that jazz, then I'll let you leave earlier" Black Mulberry said as she got up from her seat. The students just packed away as fast, putting up the chairs, closing the windows, then almost everyone was gone. Rockstar was about to go too, as he didn't feel like staying any longer due to the previous happenings. Would you wanna stay if that happened to you?

He was about to leave the classroom, but just like that, he was gently pulled back. He was stopped by someone.

But who it was surprised him quite a bit.
