"A very poetic beginning to this story, there is a strong use of imagery as we read, and that gripped me as a reader almost immediately. I knew this book would be sad, but I didn't think it'd be THAT sad. I mean Miles starts us off on a pretty black perception of him. If Eeyore were a person, it would be Miles. However, his sad demeanor and torturous life gives me the urge to protect him and strangle anyone who hurts him; and I believe that is the intention the author, Mareco, was going for... The scene with the mother and Miles... When she said, 'Let it all out, you deserve that.' Man, you're really trying to get me crying on a Wednesday evening, huh? You do a great job getting your readers inside Miles's head, which I believe is essential for these sorts of books. I wish you all the best in your writing journey."
