Born from refracted crystal light

Creating sculpted porcelain,

An angel spawned from cirrus wisps

As pure as freshly settled snow.

Skin without flaws or blemishes

From brow to illiac then soles,

Whole in body and free of mind

With nothing but holy notions

To entertain his conciousness.

Yet the creature's heavenly eyes

Were unable to glance behind

And view the limbs upon his back

Shedding silky downy feathers,

One fine, the other fractured.

That innocent child of the Lord

Approached the sky's edge, intending

To spread his wings wide and fulfil

his Father's work, but upon his

Faithful leap he frightfully found

his form betrayed his trust, and he

Fell, forsaken, from sky to earth.
