Y/n's POV
"Hello girls!" JYP greeted us as we all entered his music studio. I did a 360, taking in every piece of equipment. As a music production geek I couldn't believe my eyes! He had at least 2 of everything.
"So today I really want to start working on the song. I know we just started this whole thing but the sooner we start the song the rest will fall into place. Costumes, the dance, the music video, all of it will depend on the type of song we make, does that make sense?" We all nodded.
"Good good. I'm sure you all know I can whip up a track in no time, but I really want you guys to take on the majority of the writing and production. It needs to feel authentic. The fans want to hear something that sounds like it came straight from all of your hearts so they can connect more to the song." I was so happy to hear this. Some idols don't get the freedom to be creative so hearing this from JYP made me feel more comfortable about how this track would turn out.
"Ok girls, let's start with the writing process."
A few hours later and we had finished all of the lyrics and started creating the track. JYP was confident that he could finish it within the week and then we could share the news to our fans about our collaboration. I was so nervous because twice hasn't worked with any American artists yet so I wasn't sure how some of their more hardcore fans would react.
"Y/n you ok? You look like your thinking hard about something." Jihyo came and sat beside me. We were having snacks back at the dorm.
"Yea I'm fine. Just thinking about how everyone will react to the news, I won't lie I'm a little worried about it." I told her honestly. For some reason I felt so safe and protected when I was with Jihyo. She quickly grabbed my hand.
"Please don't think like that. Our fans will love you just as much as we do! I promise." My gag reflex almost activated at the word love. I hate love, it's gross.
"Thank you. I just tend to over think sometimes. I don't want to bother or worry you though." Her face suddenly got serious
"You will never bother me Y/n, please remember that I am and will always be here for you." I could feel the sincerity in her voice, something that is usually hard to find in people. It was such a calming feeling just us two having a conversation.
Jihyo's POV
I hope I made it clear to her. How I felt. She can be so clueless and dense sometimes.
"Are you finished?" I asked while gesturing towards her plate.
"Yes I am stuffed! Those were the best noodles I have had in a while."
I smiled and then reached for her plate.
"No no I got it!" She quickly grabbed the plate. Y/n I'm just trying to care for you! I don't know why I feel so weak around her. I can't tell if I want to care for her like a mother or if it's something else.
"Jihyo now you are the one in deep thought" Y/n says while giggling. I couldn't help but smile at how cute her laugh was.
All of a sudden it was silent. A comfortable silence. It was like we were having a unannounced staring contest.
"Y/n! Jihyo!" Chae came in interrupting whatever was happening between us.
"What Chae?" Y/n directed her attention toward the little cub.
"JYP just called! He finished the rough draft of of our song! He just wants us to come back in and add backing vocals and fix some stuff next week!" Wow that's big news! We need to celebrate tonight.
"That's amazing! Let's have a celebration tonight!" That might actually be a terrible idea now that I think about it.
"Did I hear soju!" Dahyun popped her head in. Oh no.
"Soju!" Tzuyu entered. Ugh these girls.
The rest of the girls piled into the kitchen, all excited about tonight's plans.
Sana's POV
All I want is a drunk Y/n in my bed tonight period.
