Kuruma woke up with a flash. Today would be the day she would leave Hotaru Island to train under Mihawk's care. Never vefore has she ever been this excited. Yes, she loved the island with all her heart. But exploring new islands and training with an advanced swordsman made Kuruma so happy.

As the 33 year old skipped down the stairs, she realized no one was home but her. The quiet house made Kuruma a bit suspicious. "Where is he? Normally he's always here.." Kuruma held her chin but then shrugged it off.

After eating a quick meal and changing into comfy clothes, she decided to pack up everything she needed. Her swords, clothes, toothbrush, and pictures of when she was a child. She smiled brightly. Memories started to flood through her head when she arrived at Hotaru Island and the first female student at the academy.

Many years have passed since that day.

Now she's grown up, an advanced swordswoman. Ready to leave her home.

Closing the door behind her, Kuruma stepped outside into the fresh air. Expecting to see people in the village walking around, Kuruma smiled brightly. But there was no one that smiled back. Instead, they had their back turned. The people that did look however sent her sad or dissaproving glances. The atmosphere was already getting awkward.

Kuruma raised an eyebrow as she gave people confusing glances.

Weird glances, everywhere. What's up with the people today? Normally the people of Hotaru Village are in their happy-go-lucky mood. This is different, a really awkward mood. What's wrong with everybody today.....is it the way I look today?

Probably not that.....something else...no matter how I look, the village wouldn't give me weird glances. It has to be something else, maybe something I did...

Ah I see what they're doing. Ugh, what did Yoshi do? What did he tell them? I'm starting to shape everything together now.

Yoshi must've told everyone in the village that I was leaving him to another man and probably made it sound so negative. Yeesh, I kind of pity them now. I mean...yes I did fight him and probably left some scars so I don't see any reason why they would give me such bad looks.

*Sigh*

Just walk through the village normally. Nothing really bad's gonna happen.

Every step that Kuruma took seemed to increase the tension around her. She would take quick glances at everyone, only to receive dissaproving stares back.

It seemed like she was walking for hours, trying to cope with the mean glares and the awkwardness.

The young woman kept on walking towards the docks until she felt something hard hit her head. She felt unimaginable pain and winced. She brushed her hand over where her wound was, there was blood on her hand. Kuruma whirled around to see a young boy, at least 9 years old, holding a rather large rock the size of an egg.

A scowl formed on her face. A bigger scowl appeared when another rock hit her arm. The scowl on her face kept on increasing everytime a rock was thrown at her. Almost everyone was throwing stones at her. Wounds and scabs covered most of her body.

Taunts spat out of the villagers' mouths like poison. Although it looked like Kuruma wasn't fazed at all, inside she was trembling with anger.
