Judgmental

You see her walking in the halls

With a scarf on her head

Wondering what she's hiding

Who she really is

That's the true question

You think for a moment-

She turns her head

And looks at you-

Scared to approach her-

You leave

Making her feel unwanted

As she has felt many times before

She's an outlier-

Doesn't truly belong in this world

Yet she's still here-

Waiting for an answer

That's never going to come

She walks on-

Her head held high

Ignoring the daggers in your eyes

Her inferiority completes you-

In spite of your "superiority"

You remain envious of her modesty

Of the dignity that you fail to attain

And yet...you remain judgmental

You continue degrading her culture

How hypocritical of you

To envy her for self-honor

Then act as though honor is beneath you

As judgmental as you are

Her morals will always conquer you
