Barry Allen was in his central city apartment he had a life before he became the flash even before central city but back then he went by his first name Sebastian and not his middle names, he sighed at the photo of the one and only Rachel Berry.
He met her while he was at Dalton academy and apart of the warblers he had admired her for everything she as. He looked up from the photo and thought about her like always and thought about Dalton, he graudated with a GPA of 5, and graduated from College with top marks and received his major in CSI.
Barry misses Rachel every single day. He finds himself wondering if she ever did marry Finn and got the life she wanted, but he got over her and is a married to his college girlfriend Iris West-allen but apart of him will always hold that special place for Rachel that not even Iris could have.
Barry couldn't tell Iris about Rachel, as he knew she would be upset and question him if he was still in contact with her, but of course Barry wasn't in contact with her, but he longs to be. He deeply sighed as he also thought about Caitlin. Caitlin was a different story for him.
Barry always thought about her when he thought about Rachel. As he always thought that Caitlin and Rachel were similar and Caitlin always reminded Barry of Rachel except Caitlin doesn't have the voice like Rachel. Yes he secretly crushed on Caitlin, but he could never have a full crush on her, because of two reasons really.
One being that he is married to Iris, and the second being because of Rachel. Back then and back when he went by Sebastian, he was in love with Rachel, but he couldn't have her, but of course he couldn't have her. He even tried to blackmail her to break up with Finn. It almost worked but Rachel was just annoyed with him.
As Barry was deep in thought, he didn't hear the apartment door open, until he heard
"Barry." He turned and saw his wife walk in. He placed the photo of Rachel face down and smiled as Iris walked over and sat next to him after she greeted him with a kiss. Barry was quiet as Iris cuddled him and as he still had Rachel on his mind. He wanted to forget Rachel, even had that secret crush on Caitlin but not even Caitlin could compare to Rachel. His Broadway Girl.
He kissed iris' forehead and then rushed up to get them a coffee, when he rushed back into the living room, he saw Iris holding Rachel's photo in her hands. He placed the cups on the table and Iris said
"Barry. Why do you have this girl's photo, is she a dangerous meta human that you're trying to find?" Of course Iris just assumes that Rachel the first and only girl he will ever love is a dangerous meta human. But Barry knew that Rachel his pretty girl, his young Barbra Streisand is no dangerous meta human. Iris looked at him waiting for an answer and Barry knew that it was time to tell her. Barry looked at her and said
"She's not a meta human and she's definitely not dangerous." Iris looked at him and said
"Then who is she, I'm a reporter and I will find out the truth so tell me who she is." It was then Barry became annoyed
"It's always I'm a reporter with you. Why can't you be more like her?" He said as he pointed to the photo, Barry looked at her and said
"Her name is Rachel. She's the most beautiful and talented girl I have ever met. In high school i was in love with her, and she's no meta human and she's not dangerous either." Iris placed the photo down as Barry defended Rachel's honour and Barry was worried that she would break the frame and Iris said
"You loved her in high school. How could you not tell me this Barry, I'm your wife. What else are you hiding from me, that you also love Caitlin? How can I trust you Barry, how can I trust you when you say this girl isn't dangerous, how do you know that she isn't, you haven't seen her since highschool." At those words Barry quickly picked up Rachel's photo and raced out the door to get away from Iris. He couldn't be anywhere near her. Not after that. Not after she accused Rachel Berry to be a dangerous and to be a meta human. He couldn't bear that Iris thought that his Rachel is dangerous when he knew she wasn't dangerous at all. No not his Broadway. His Broadway is not dangerous.
He raced to Cisco's apartment. He's the only one to know everything. When Cisco opened the door, he knew by Barry's face that Iris found out about Rachel. Barry walked in and he knew what to do. Barry sighed, he didn't want to ask. But he knew that if he ever wanted to be truly happy, he had to. Barry took out Rachel's photo and then turned to Cisco and said
"I need a favour, a big favour, and I don't want to ask but I need to if I'm ever going to be happy." Cisco looked at his best friend and said
"Dude I thought you liked Caitlin?" Barry shook his head and said
"She doesn't compare to Rachel at all. I can't get over Rachel. I just can't." Cisco nodded his head in understanding knowing that he himself won't ever be able to get over Gypsy. Cisco looked at Barry and said
"What do you want me to do Barry?" Barry handed the photo to Cisco and said
"I need you to vibe this please. I need to know where she is. If she's okay." Cisco nodded his head, took the photo from Barry and then vibed Rachel's location. As Cisco did he saw that Rachel was in New York in an apartment alone with a kid. When he finished vibing Barry looked at him and said
"What did you see?" Cisco smiled as he handed Barry the photo and said
"She's in New York, in an apartment, she's alone but she has a kid Barry." Barry took a deep breath and said
"Did she have a ring on?" Cisco looked at him and said
"No she doesn't Barry." Barry smiled at him, took the photo from Cisco's hand and said
"Give this to Iris." He took out divorce papers he had kept away from Iris, and handed them to Cisco with his wedding ring, and raced out all the way to New York City. When he reached New York, he knocked on the door.
Rachel, had put her daughter Maria to sleep, and then walked to the door when she the heard. She opened it and saw Sebastian. She looked at him and said
"Sebastian what are you doing here?" He smiled at her and said
"What I should have done a long time ago." He walked in and kissed her. He was pleased that she kissed and he then said
"I love you Rachel Barbra Berry. I always have. Ever since highschool." Rachel kissed him and said
"I love you too Sebastian Bartholomew Henry Allen Smythe and my daughter Maria will love you too."
A few months later when the divorce between him and Iris was finalised, Rachel was told that her Sebastian was the flash, and Sebastian had officially adopted Maria as his daughter and had asked Rachel to marry him.
