I was standing in line with the other soldiers with tears rolling down my face the sergeant walks past "yes sir". I'm walking around in a completely empty neighborhood, walking down the middle of the road, holding my rifle the streets were completely empty. I stop and grab my water bottle and took a drink I see a piece of newspaper flying through the air I reach out and grab the newspaper I looked at it and saw the date 2021 27 of October, it said how many days we were in the war with a black-and-white picture in the middle of a page underneath the date.
