The call came two years ago, without warning. I was sitting at home in my lime green chair, watching Monday night Football like any other Eleven year old boy. "Elijah, I'm going to drop Julie off at daycare, do you want anything from the store?" My mother said from her bedroom at the back of our small house, on Cherokee Drive.

"No mother, I have plenty of Snacks to last me."

"Ok then, bye." The door slammed

shut behind her. My dog Bruno jumped in my lap,"hey boy, wanna go outside?" His answer was a series of barks and whistles. So we walked through our kitchen to get to the broken screen door, only broken because of our dog freaking out when his paws are cold.

I stepped back inside and started to watch the game again, the Green Bay Packers Vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. A good game in my opinion, 21-24, Steelers.

Our house phone started ringing, and as soon as I saw the number I got excited, I knew exactly who it was. "Logan, what ya up to?" I asked to my best friend ever.

"Oh, you know, just layin around like a lazy man" he answered.

"Can I come over?"

"Yea, that'd be sweet"

"Ok."
