Piper's sisters have been thinking that she needs to get back into the dating world since she's lost her husband months prior. Her sister Phoebe set you and her up for a blind date; neither of you knew who you were going to meet one night at the pretty romantic and expensive restaurant.
Piper sat down at the table after you'd pulled out her chair and settled in, quickly going to look at her menu without talking very much. She knew if she did talk, she would ramble, and that could become an embarrassing mess.
Of course, once conversation began, she actually started to ramble about any single topic before stopping herself and apologizing.
"I'm sorry," Piper says to you, "I'm not used to this dating anymore. I was married for five years, and I have two kids, and–" she cut herself again. "Sorry! I'm sure you don't want to hear about that."
