Chapter 17: speech

Craig's pov

We we're all in the gym and i was assigned to say the speech

Flaaaaaash baaaaaack
Stan, Kyle, Kenny and i met up at lunch time in one of the cafeteria's table
"Here's the flyers" Kenny said, putting it down on the table
"Cool" Stan said
"What about the speech?" I asked
"It's here" Kyle replied, giving it to me
I read some part of it and stopped
This is giving me a headache
I gave it back to Kyle but he didn't receive it
"Well?" I said
"Craig, your saying the speech" Kyle replied
"...... what"
"Well i mean, it has to be you so Tweek can know this whole thing to get you and him back together was all you"
"We're not dating-"
"Not yet" Kenny said, nudging my elbow
I blushed a bit
"But you know my voice" i argued
"The only thing that matters is you said it" Stan talked back
"But-"
"Your saying it!!" They all said

End of Flaaaaaash baaaaaack

I sighed and step up the stage with pc principal already there
"All right everyone, we might not have done this for a long time but some of our students suggested if they can talk about bullying and bullying is bad"
Pc principal gave the mic to me

I breathe in to hopefully not mess up
I recited this a lot of times to make sure I won't get anything wrong

"Bullying, is where you make fun of someone. There's a lot of kind of bullying: verbal, physical, cyber bullying and others. We shouldn't be doing these kind of things because its fun, yes it's normal to do it but at least don't go too far. Kids comitted suicide because of this, but why? It makes them feel self conscious about themselves, lowering their self esteem, and making them think that their not good enough, and yet they are. These negative thoughts that crawls into their minds break them physically and mentally, and one way to stop it is to stop bullying, and apologize for your mistakes"

The people looked around, with the face of sorrow
With confidence on getting my friends back i put the paper back in my pocket, using my own words
"I've seen victims getting bullied, hell i used to bully people as well. But something made me change, SOMEONE made me change for who i am and what i did was wrong, and i adore that from them. And now, i want to pay them back, i want to show him that i was really happy when he changed me and show him that i care for him. I want to thank my friends also after all of the commotion that happened, and now i want you to do the same thing. Think about all of those bullyings that you do, yes you can still bully but make sure to keep it on the minimum and to make sure that it was just a joke so you wont actually hurt them in any way"
I mic dropped and everyone was quiet at first, but then i heard clapping
I looked to see who it came from and saw that it was Cartman, who was doing it after what he has done
"He's right guys" Cartman said

And one by one, everybody started clapping, not only clapping but crying also
I looked to the side to see pc principal tearing up a bit as well
Wow
Pc principal stepped up and i lend him the mic
"I hope you learned something from this, and i want to thank Craig for the wonderful speech"
"Thanks i guess" i mumbled

We we're allowed to leave the gymnasium now so i went and head for the exits while everyone was hugging and saying sorry to each other
I hope they knew what i mean
Outside Stan, Kyle, and Kenny we're waiting and gave me a big hug
"Im proud of you Craig, making your own speech half way? Amazing" Kyle said
"Yeah, well i hope it was worth it" I replied
"Speaking of worth it, someone wants to speak to you at the back of the school" Stan said
"Really? Who???" I asked
"Just go!" Stan said, pushing me in a joking way
We all laughed and smiled and i bid them goodbye

I walked to the back of the school, admiring the silence of an empty hallway since most of the students are still in the gym crying
Once i reached the exit which leads to the back i breathe in again, feeling nervous but curious at the same time
I opened the door and to see a spiky blonde hair sticking out
"Tweek!"

Kyle's pov

While me Stan and Kenny we're waiting for the students to finally leave the gym Cartman came out first
"Thanks for the help fatass" I said with a still pissed off face
"Kahl! I wanted to talk" Cartman said
"Huh?" I turned to him
"Look, after hearing Craig's gay speech it got me thinking about us-"
"He's taken" Stan said, wrapping his arm around me
"No!! Im not a fag, what im saying is i hope you didn't really get hurt from what i did, I'll try to keep it in a minimum but please take it as a joke" Cartman confessed
I smiled at him
"Alright Fatass"
He smiled back
"Thanks Jew"
The four of us left school and went to do whatever we want, bringing back old times again
