"sorry what?" i answered, confused who this was and why they had just said this to me
"you know what i mean, that little 'ooh i fell over into zach and ooh i'm so clumsy' honestly what are you playing at?"
"i-i tripped over, it was an accident i swear!" i said still as confused as i was before
"hmm sure, well just stay away from my boyfriend in future and then i won't have a problem with you"
"kay! kay, what are you doing and why are you talking to jas?" zach came over and talked to the girl who was now his girlfriend and also called kay
"oh i was just asking her who she was, you know since i'm new around here i need some friends" lies. i want to expose her but i keep quiet
"oh well come on babe, we're gonna be late to class" they left and i noticed they were holding hands.
babe. holding hands. my heart broke in a matter of seconds over a boy who i've had such little conversation with
"jas it's fine they won't last long, the lies she was giving, i say about a week and they'll be over" alexia assures me and i feel she's right but i can't help but feel something
"i liked him so much lex" i said not knowing what to say "i know you did and you can still like him, before you know it he'll be single again, i promise"

we then headed to class, late.
the whole lesson i couldn't focus i was just replaying that word in my head. babe.

"jas? jas! jasmine?! hellooo?" alexia waves her hand in front of my face and i realised she was there and that i had been really zoned out
"hm, whats up?"
"i said, do you wanna come to get something to eat?" alexia said "not that hungry to be honest"
"jas you didn't eat lunch, you have to eat at some point"
i didn't eat lunch because i wasn't hungry and now here we are outside mcdonald's and i'm still not hungry
i keep remembering the way they held hands and the way he was looking at her
"fine but i'm not eating much" i compromised and ordered a cheeseburger and small fries
"yay i'm glad your gonna eat, don't let them two get into your head, like i said it's not going to last!"
"yeah i know it just keeps replaying in my head"
"honestly jas, let's just forget about it and enjoy ourselves" alexia said and i nodded before i started to eat
