your hair glowed white. that camera, now vintage, caught your halo on gloss paper and held it. showing off your unspoiled goodness as you laughed because you had life. i've never seen a heart so bare of those things that sour people, as yours was back then and still is. i know years can shrivel a soul like old fruit, but deep inside your grown-up skin thrives that little boy and his halo, laughing purely because he could.

with each page turn, i fall more in love with your humanity—and that wonderful vintage camera someone probably junked.
