School’s out and summer just arrived. I can still remember the summer I spent with Drake last year at Malibu. It was the best summer. I want warm summer nights, to lie in a hammock, staring at the stars, telling you stories. I want to dip my toes in the water, to dangle my feet off the edge of the dock and sit leaning forward, looking at you, laughing till our stomachs hurt, that’s the summer I want to happen again.
“Sweetie, you have a visitor. Please come downstairs” mom said.
“Yes mom! I’ll be there in a minute” I said.
I have a visitor? Oh how I wish that visitor is Drake.
“Hello favorite cousin!”
“Chloe! It’s so good to see you again!” I said.
“It’s so good to see you too! So what are your plans this summer? Oh please don’t tell me you already made plans with Drake” Chloe said.
“uh not really. Drake left the country for good without telling me” I sighed.
“oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t know. Cheer up couz! Pack your things, I’m taking you to Malibu” she smiled.
“I really don’t know about that” I said.
“Don’t worry I already asked permission from your mom and dad” she smiled.
“Sweetie, go with your cousin. You need this, relax and have fun” mom smiled.
