Leaning in to kiss you
But being afraid to do so
Fingers running through your hairs
Your forever always shining through
He said don't be stupid
They all see I only see you
She still couldn't do so
He had only just come through
Wanted to change, to grow, to be
By an opportunity presented to me
You wanted the same thing
Until another to fuck around with came
He wasn't shallow, merely sought fun
She was done with fun, had had it enough
These two fools, so different they say
Were actually as similar as the day
You- a boy with his heart misplaced
And I – the one that always got away
