Last Day In The Bronx

Strip was fun, since then? I've been enjoying some personal time with my family and less with my friends, to be honest, I really didn't care if I didn't spend time with my friends, yeah we is going hard since day 1, but my family? Family is forever. And I would rather spend my last few days in the Bronx with them than someone who might not even hit me up after I move. My mom had taken out money from the bank and have to me for myself to spend on food and needs when I moved. She didn't know I had money from my job.. my job as a drug dealer, but she thought it was babysitting. I just woke up, 6:42am, and couldn't go back to sleep knowing this was my last day here, I tossed and turned and when I did sleep again I was always woken up by small noises. It could've been stress, anxiety, my ass being nervous? How about D, all of the above. And most importantly, I forgot to inform Toby that I was leaving and thank him for giving me that flyer and encouraging me to take a shot at it. I'd do that once his store opened, although, Tommy knew pretty quick, so who knows, maybe he could've already heard the news, but I'd be rude if I didn't thank him. Before I closed my eyes, i texted my mom to wake me up once she left for work, it was around the same time Toby opened, so I wouldn't sleep in too late. So for the last time I shut my eyes and drifted away.

"Baby wake up I'm leaving for work" my mom said pulling my blanket off

"Ma I'm cold!" I said wining and curling up into a ball cause it was COLD!

"You texted me before bed to wake you up so don't give me attitude, levántate ya!"

"Okay okay can you give me my blanket back at least" I told her as she covered me back up

"If only you were good at cleaning like you are at sleeping" she said which made me sit up straight from the bed

"Oh girl I know you lying" I told her

"Yeah I'm joking, but look now you're up" she said giggling and walking out my room as I shook my head

I hopped in the shower and picked out a comfy outfit for today. I had told my sister before leaving the house that I'd be going to thank Toby and she told me not to be late cause she wanted to go out and eat breakfast since it was still early.

"You gonna pay for that shit?" I asked her

"Girl of course, what you think I'm broke?" She told me

"Yeah bitch I do, you was betting I'd get coochie the other day cause you needed money" I told her

"That was just because I want money, you know we gotta hustle" she said as I shook my head and laughed

"Alright well just come with me and we can leave from there" I told her

"How about you go and text me when you done and I pick you up" she suggested

"Alright then you betta answer" I told her

"For sure" she said as I left.

As I walked to the liquor I saw Tommy talking to some girls and pointing at me as the girl laughed.

"Can I help you bitch?" I told her as she gave me a dirty look

"Yeah bitch thats what I thought" I said as I began to walk away from them

"Yeah she is a bitch" I heard her say as I was walking away

"He got a small dick by the way, and no stable job" I said not turning around and giving that bitch attention or my time to argue with.

As I approached the liquor I got a text from star.

To Star⭐️💕: I don't know, I gotta thank Toby for this whole situation and then Henny wanna go out for breakfast and I don't know if my mom gonna make plans later when she get back from work

To Star⭐️💕: of course u can girl why you ask, you wanna come to breakfast with me and henny?

I walked into the store and Toby immediately congratulated me despite him scanning items for the customer.

"I heard the news, it spread quick" he said

"Yeah quicker than some fucking std" I said as he laughed and went back to help the customer

"Congratulations you deserve it, I told you that you would be perfect for it!" He said smiling and waving the customer goodbye

"Thank you for telling me about it, without you I wouldn't be going over there and getting a job that's not drug dealing" I told him

"I'm glad I can help, especially if it means getting you out of that dangerous job" he said

"When do you leave?" He asked

"Tomorrow" I said

"Aw shit, in really gonna miss you kiddo, you been coming here since you was a kid" he said smiling

"I'm gonna miss ya too Toby, but you know I be back for my vacations, you can't take the Bronx out of this girl" I told him and he smiled and hugged me

"Be sage over there" he said

"I will, thank you again" I said

"Alright imma go, in going out with my sister" I told him

"Just Incase I don't see you tomorrow, take this" he said handing me a box with a lock

"Don't open it until you get to California, I'll text you the code" he said hugging me once more as I thanked him and walked out.
