A modern day fairy tale like no other
Started off with love and laughter
A story of a princess and her prince
Without a "Happily ever after"

A high tower, a locked up princess
A young handsome prince, set out on his horse
To sought and rescue this damsel in distress
She found in his arms, a whole new world
A world she'd never known of before
And in her eyes he found solace
And love, they needed nothing more
But every love story has an evil twist
And sadly theirs was no different
For the world would never accept their love
The Shakespearean play might give you a hint
But unlike Romeo and Juliet
They knew beforehand of their fate
For their love, although undying and pure
Already had an expiry date
So as they parted ways, their love intact
They chose to believe that they would be fine
For the two broken hearts had in their time together
Found enough love to survive a life time
So It's wrongly said that a broken heart
Binds a man, never setting him free
For not many are lucky to ever find love
Even if it's nothing but momentary
