-The next day-
Hitoshi and Denki had showed up to help Haname with her packing and loading process. Haname took it upon herself to apologize every three seconds, and both Hitoshi and Denki telling her it's fine, and not to worry about it. It really was fine, Haname was family, and they didn't mind the drive out of Musutafu to help her out.
Right now, Haname was telling her Brother and brother-in-law about all the surgeries she's performed.
"Yeah, that damn rookie put the needle in the wrong place, and actually severed the vein. There was blood everywhere. Poor girl." Haname laughed.
Hitoshi chuckled and paused with putting some items in a box marked 'Kitchen'. He seemed to be in deep in thought. His face seemed to light up before we spoke up.
"Hey, Haname, you haven't found a house yet, have you?"
Haname looked up from her bathroom box, a look of dismay on her face. "Nah, not yet. I have to find one soon, as I'm moving out today."
A smile crept in Hitoshi's face. "Well guess what? I think there's an empty house for sale a couple of blocks from our place. He said proudly. At the mention of this, Denki appeared from the spare bedroom, a smile on her face. "Oh, are you talking about that nice two-story house, the one with that porch on the second floor, and the massive backyard? Yeah honestly kinda wished we moved in there. That porch seems fucking lit."
Haname was intrigued. A two story house? For sale, and not for rent? And it was near her brother's house? This house sounds amazing! Perfect, even!
"H-how much is it?"
Hitoshi smirked, as if a master plan of his had fallen into place. "Oh, I have no idea. A lot, I bet." He said calmly
Haname deadlines at her brother's behavior. She sighed and continued with her packing. "Guess I'll see when we get there."
-Time Skip!-
The tree had finished packing and loading all of Haname's boxes into the moving truck. The three were now separated into three vehicles. Denki was driving Hitoshi's car, which is how they got there. Hitoshi was driving Haname's car, which had to get there some how, and Haname took it upon herself to drive the moving truck.
Haname had the radio playing softly, one hand one the wheel while the other was petting Kochi on the head, who was dozing off in the passenger seat. They were finally reaching the city limits of Musutafu, and Haname could see the large buildings of the city towering well above the clouds. She was thinking about how she would be starting a new job, as the head chief of the biggest hospital in the city, no less. She was going to have to work more hours, longer shifts, and the workload would be much bigger. She was nervous, yet incredibly excited. There would be new challenges to take on.
Haname was pulled from her thoughts when her phone rang. She pulled her hand from Mochi's for to answer the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hello?" She spoke dryly, yet again not bothering to look at the contact name!
"Hey girl!"
Haname blinked. "Mina, how are you? It's about time you called me at a reasonable time." Mina laughed in the other side of the phone.
"Yeah, whatever! That was a one time thing. It's not like I interrupted your sleep or anything."
Haname smiled, missing the banter between her and her highschool friend.
"Yeah, but I was in the bath after just getting off of a seventy-two hour shift."
Haname chuckled."Touché. Anyway, I called because Denki said you guys finally got to Musutafu."
Haname scoffed, but still laughed. "Yes and no. We just got within the city limits, but I haven't gotten to Hitoshi's house quite yet."
"Ah, ok! Oh, have you decided if you're going to the class reunion yet?"
Haname thought about this. "I don't know, maybe. Hitoshi mentioned a house not too far from his for sale. I'm going to check it out. It sounds pretty sweet. When is the reunion again?"
"Oh, it's next Wednesday. I think everyone's going to be there. Even the teachers."
Haname hummed, mulling over the information she was just given. Today was Thursday, and she would like to be moved in before the reunion. So that have her about a week to do so.
"Hey, I'm heading over to Shinsou's house so I can be there when you get here. I'm excited to see you again, it's been years!"
Haname chuckled. "Ok then, see you there." With that, Haname hung up the phone.
-Another Time Skip-
The trio had finally arrived, and true to her word, Mina Ashido was waiting there for them. At the sight of Haname, Mina squealed and ran towards Haname, bulldozing past Denki and Hitoshi, nearly knocking them over.
Haname had just gotten out of the truck, and barely had time to brace herself before she was trapped in a suffocating bear hug. Haname laughed as she struggled to hug her back.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so happy to see you again! You got so tall! And your hair is so long!" Haname was barely taller that Mina back in highschool, and more she was at least four inches taller than her, and her hair that used to just barely brushed past her shoulders, now reached her waist.
Denki and Hitoshi, who were watching the while situation go down, found it funny how Mina was fawning over Haname like I grandmother would. After a few more minutes of this, Haname finally pushed Mina away so she could breathe.
"Dude, I'm happy to see you too, but give me some space, I need to get some things from the truck."
They laughed together and they all headed inside.
I'm gonna end this chapter right here, because I don't really know what else to do with it.
