*bing* I get an email notification, I open it and it reads: Hello Ms. Lorena Vega, This is Lane from Hollywood Arts high school in Hollywood, California. I work in the guidance department and I've seen some of your singing videos on the Slap. You're amazing and I'd love to have you audition at our school! Let me know if you are interested, I'll book your flight and everything else is history! I gasp, "Mom! Come here!" I yell excitedly, she runs in, "What happened?" I point to my screen, she leans down and reads. "Oh my goodness, Enna! This is amazing! Say yes!" I press reply on the email and begin to type Hello Lane, I am so interested in auditioning for your school! Please don't say this was an accident or a joke! This is an amazing opportunity! I live in Orlando, Florida! I press send and sit at my computer all night. I finally get a reply 3 hours later I booked your flight, I'll see you tomorrow! 1:30pm pcst! "Mom, pack your bags we're going to Hollywood!" I rush to get our suitcases from the living room closet. I run to my room I pack all the clothes, shoes and hygienic products I can fit, making sure to keep it under 50 pounds. My mom packs lightly, as always. "Honey you packed your whole room," she chuckles, "get some rest we are leaving soon." I laugh, "Mom, you're hilarious, I can't sleep now!"
2:00am We finally leave the airport. I'm so excited, I have not slept. "I'm proud of you Lorena," my mom places her hand on mine, "You're very talented." she smiles, as do I. "Thank you mom, I hope I'm good enough to make it."
We board our flight and I grab my phone and open the slap, I begin typing

I send the update, put my phone in airplane mode and just try to relax. I end up falling asleep making the plane ride a whole lot quicker. "Enna, honey wake up." my mom says quietly to me slightly tapping me, I wake up and smile, "What time is it?" "12:40 California time, 3:40 our old time." she smiles, "Lane has an escort for us, he emailed me." I get a happy nervous feeling inside.
We walk out of the plane, grab our bags and we see a sign that says 'Lorena Vega Hollywood Arts'. Butterflies fill my stomach, I hold my mom's hand tightly. "Hello, I'm Lane," he holds his hand out, "I wanted to drive you personally to Hollywood Arts." I shake his hand then my mom does, "I'm Lorena Vega, this is my mom Elaine Montez." He smiles, "I have 6 of my students waiting for you, they are going to show you around school then at 1:30 they'll bring you into the theater and you'll do your audition." I smile as we walk to the car. My mom and Lane converse the whole way, I'm so excited I accidentally sound them out. We arrive at this beautiful and colorful campus, I fall in love instantly. I get out of the car and see 3 boys and 3 girls, these must be the 6 who are going to show me around. "Hi, I'm Tori Vega, these are my friends-" "Not your friend." one girl with black hair cuts her off, "- whatever, anyway, this is Andre Harris," he waves me to, "Cat Valentine," "Hiya!" "Beck Oliver," he waves with a slight smile, "Robbie Shapiro and Rex," "You're might fine," Rex says, "Rex stop!" Robbie says, I chuckle, "and this is Jade West." "Hi." she says before kissing Beck. I look back to Tori, "I'm Lorena Vega." I smile, "Oh my god we have the same last name, you're latina too?" I nod, "100% Puerto Rican!" she gets happy, "I'm half! We are so going to be friends, all of us." She grabs my arm, "For sure! I don't know if this is weird to say but Tori, you and Lorena kind of look alike." Andre says and everyone agrees except Tori and I. We ignore it and walk into the school. "This is your locker," she points to a plain grey one, "it's right near mine! we also have the same acting class together, all, now 7 of us do." I smile, "You're not much of a talker are you?" Rex says, "Oh well I do talk but I have my audition today and I'm nervous." I smile, "Belt something for us right now!" Andre says. "Beck let's leave I'm bored." Jade grabs his wrist and starts walking, "But Lorena has to be showed around." Beck argues, she looks at him. "Never mind." he says and walks away with her. "Just come to my audition." I smile, "We definitely will." Andre says for him and Tori. "You guys are so nice, I expected rude preppy kids, I'm so happy I flew here to audition, I think I'm going to like it here." I smile, Andre smiles back at me, "Glad you feel that way!" "Yeah totally and I'm so happy we are friend!" Tori adds happily. "Robbie do you want to go to Nozu? I want sushi?" The red headed girl named Cat says, I look over to them, "Yeah, we can go. What about Tori, Andre and Lorena?" Robbie says, I feel happy he mentioned me. "I can go for sushi!" Andre and Tori say in sync. "You down?" Tori looks to me, I nod, "Totally!" "Well," Tori checks her pear phone, "It's 1:25! Time for Lorena's audition!" She grabs my hand and we run to the auditorium. "Wow I'm so nervous." I say under my breath.
