Day 4

When I wake up this morning, I decide that this will be the day I make Alex jealous.

I have a skip in my step as I get ready for the day of standing in lines at Target.

After reaching Target, I take my time casually strolling up and down the aisles. I pick out a few necessities (bananas, holy water, etc.) and head up to the checkout counters. Instead of going to Alex's aisle, I flip my hair when I pass it and keep on going to a fairly good looking boy in his early eighties. I try to mentally force Alex to look my way when I walk up to the man and begin putting my items on the conveyor. Maybe he will see how happy I am with this lane and will instantly want to run over and direct me to his aisle. Unfortunately, he does not glance in my direction once, no matter how many different lanes I check out in. What a shame. I thought that boy had potential.

I pass him as I walk out of the store, and whisper quietly, "Soon," then back away.
