Damian POV

Alfred was most certainly all-knowing, how else would this man know that coming to this posh party was actually going to be decent this time? His brothers and sisters were probably trying to escape, especially Jason. But I was currently following some gasps and low mumbles of "barbarian" and "savage". Because while these people loved insulting and dragging each other, it certainly seemed to be different. Once I reached the source of the commotion I was most certainly fighting the urge to smile.

There, on the floor before my very eyes, was this absolutely beautiful crocodile, wearing a loose collar, which was held by a tall man. The man himself was certainly colorful but dark, he looked pissed, by the looks of it he was with his secretary or something of the sort. But I did not care, I most certainly only cared about the magnificent beast before me. The creature lifted his head a bit, wagged his large tail, and turned. Coming his way was a young girl, with blue hair, and deep blue eyes, she was wearing a pretty dress and smiled at the creature warmly.

"Hey Uncle Jagged, hey Aunt Penny, did you tried the deserts?" Asked the young girl.

"Sure did Nette, they were rock on! But I am sure you could do a better version of these sweets!" Exclaimed the man while he laughed.

"Maybe... Does Fang want some love and attention?" The crocodile had approached the young girl while she talked, and she decided to provide him with some attention.

"Excuse me, gentleman, ladies, is this beauty yours?" I asked, thanking my father mentally for teaching me how to approach people in certain ways to hide my usual way of speaking.

"Hey kid, Fang here is my little baby boy, aren't you a good boy Fang?" The man answered me as he scratched his crocodile a bit. Both ladies just smiled a bit.

"Wonderful, I adore all kinds of animals, but my father put a stop when I reached three, for now at least..." I found myself talking rather easily with this small group.

I could hear some people close to us talking badly about me, they usually did, but apparently, me enjoying the creature's presence made them dislike me more. Not that I mind, but it is rather annoying when it happens in your own home. Sadly I cannot kick them out yet, they haven't affected the party on a level that would guaranty us kicking them out with a good justification. But apparently, one particular comment called their attention, especially the young girl's.

"That terrorist boy should have not been accepted by Wayne. I mean look at the kids he has, a circus gypsy, a street rat, a crazy maniac, and now this boy?! Such a disgrace for a family!"

Clearly, this lady doesn't know about my sisters, but perhaps it is for the best, I would hate to have to cover a murder to early in the night. Plus, my sisters should not have to deal with these kind of people, my brothers have been at it for longer, and the comments towards me don't really bother me anymore. But the blue-haired lady was enraged.

"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen, but if you could keep your racist and discriminatory comments to yourself, I am sure many would be awfully thankful and pleased. Such a distasteful and dreadful behavior does not belong anywhere, not anymore at least, and while I am sure you are all at an age where you forget and mix, I am positive you can work on this, yes? Lovely!"

After she finished speaking to the group, she turned around, gracefully mind you, walking out like she owned the place. The man laughed loudly, while the lady besides him just shook her head a bit before saying she would check on the little lady. I turned to the man and broke the moment by introducing myself.

"Nice to meet you Damian, the name's Jagged Stone, I am a musician in France, niece beautiful woman beside me was Penny, my wife, and right hand, and the adorable blue rocker is Marinette, my honorary niece, and personal designer." He said as he smiled at me, I recognized his name from the list.

"I must thank Miss Marinette, she didn't have to stand up for me"

"Tell her yourself kid" when Mr. Stone said this I noticed she was returning.

After a while, I started to know her better, she had a cat, named Tikki, whom she loved dearly. She has been having issues with a liar, and a bully which was why she blew up quickly with the comments of the people. Before I realized it, I had been talking to her and the Stones for a while, and by while I mean hours.

Soon after father fetched me, he asked me why a couple had commented to him to mind the people he invited. I explained what had happened, and I also commented that I had her phone number. Marinette and I had many things in common, especially our love for anything alive. I found myself enjoying her company, and so I had realized I had made a new friend. When the party ended Marinette hugged me for a bit, which resulted in my brothers bothering me on my new "girlfriend" and future "Miss Demon".

"She is not my girlfriend! She is just a friend!" And somehow, calling her my friend felt awfully nice, but I would never admit that while she was not my girlfriend, the thought didn't bother me at all. In fact, I kinda looked forwards to it.
