can give me the pains Desdemona slaved through

from Othello's jealous magnitude

and the dangerous strength that Lennie used

to break that woman's neck in two

Gatsby and I are unapologetic

in pining after something pathetic

so please do write my tragedy

forsake the very worst of me

pathetically or ethically

stir within them empathy
