Driver: So stranger, what's your name?

Amber: I'm Amber.

Driver: Nice to meet you, Amber.

He says with a friendly smile.

Jaxon: My name is Jaxon.

Jaxon: So what brings you here on a Sunday afternoon?

Amber: I just visited my parents back home.

Amber: And I was on my way back to college.

He pauses for a second and rubs his chin.

Jaxon: You're a student at Lake Field?

Amber: I sure am.

Jaxon: Me too.

Jaxon: It's funny that it took your car breaking down for us to meet.

He gazes into my eyes for a second.

Making my knees feel weak.

Then he directs his eyes back to the road.

There's sexual tension in the air.

I can feel it.

And the smell of his cologne is enough to drive me wild.

Calm down, horndog.

I tell myself while I catch my breath.

Amber: And what brings you here?

I ask with a cheeky smile.

He sighs while scratching the back of his head.

Jaxon: I was visiting my girlfriend this weekend.

Instantly my smile turns upside down.

Ouch.

I guess I misread the vibe.

There's an awkward silence between us now.

I try changing the radio stations-

To try and break it.

Suddenly I hear a familiar beat.

It's my favorite song!

I can't help myself to sing-a-long.

I close my eyes.

And get lost in the music.

When the song is over-

I open my eyes again.

And realize I just sang in front of a total stranger.

I cover my face in shame.

Wishing I didn't just completely embarrass myself.

Slowly I turn my face towards Jaxon and uncover my face.

Jaxon's mouth is wide open.

I look down at my feet.

Amber: I'm so sorry about that.

Amber: That just happens to be my favorite song.

Amber: And for a moment I forgot where I was.

I nervously fidget my hands.

He looks at me and clears his throat.

I brace myself for whatever he is about to say.
