The younger kids were starting to get more and more scared. I could only do so much to keep them calm.
"It'll be okay" I said softly to them, "we'll be out soon and then we can go home" I smiled an empty smile to help sooth their nerves.
It seemed to work. My friend came back and shook his head slightly, meaning he couldn't find a way out. I started to get more and more scared. I wanted to go home, and for once not be here.
