Brooklyn's POV
I sat on my bed skipping through the pages of my English book trying to find today's assignment, listing to the music that was playing on my phone. I finally found the page that felt like years of looking for, I lent forward grabbing my bag that was on the floor next to my bed. I unzipped it then started looking for a pen, when I finally found one I dropped my bag back on the floor and started reading throw my assignment that has to be in on Monday and today is Saturday so I have today and tomorrow to get this English assignment done. I plugged my earplugs into my ears, picking the song that I wanted, I chose If You Want Love by NF and then I started writing.
I was half way though my assignment when someone suddenly pulled my earplugs out of my ears "what the hell" I shouted looking up to who ever did it and to my surprise it was my 14 year old brother Tyler "Mum's gonna be home late tonight so you have to cook dinner" he said looking at me "I'll start it after I'm done my assignment" I said starting on my assignment again "ok" I heard him say as he left my room,closing the door behind him. Your probably wonder why would someone have dinner in the day well it's not actually day it's 8:29pm right now.
After about 1 hour of working and listing to music I was finally done my English assignment. I closed my book then grabbed my bag from the floor, shoving my book into my bag along with the other things I got out earlier. I dropped my bag on the floor again and sat up,swinging my legs over my bed. I stood up and walked to my door, turning the knob then walking out. I walked down the stairs turning left to the kitchen, I opened the fridge to see what to cook for dinner seeing as my mum is out and can't cook dinner tonight and to my surprise there wasn't really anything in the fridge see as Tyler really likes food and cause Mum hasn't gone shopping yet. I closed the fridge and ran up the stairs to my brothers room, knocking on the door. But there was no answer so I just went in seeing my brother on his phone with headphones in, walking over to him I pulled them out "what the hell brook" he said angrily. He sat his phone down and looked at me "what do u want for dinner"I said crossing my arms over my chest cause i was annoyed how he has been acting lately since our dad died 3 months ago. And being his older sister I'm worried about him, he spends to much time locked in his room he barely comes out only to eat,shower,go to the toilet or go to school and then when schools finished I hardly see him. "I don't know" he said shrugging his shoulders "well you have to think of something" i said unfolding my arms from my chest and putting them on my hips "why cant you think of something" he said and i could tell he was getting annoyed "because i cant think of anything" i said throwing my hands up in the air in frustration "well while you go think I'm gonna be here doing my homework for Monday" he said getting up from his bed and pushing me out the door. I turned around "but-" I was interrupted by him slamming the door in front of my face I signed in annoyance "fine then" I mumbled turning around and heading back down stairs. I walked into the kitchen cause I left my phone there while I ran up stairs. I turned my phone and saw the I had a missed call and a couple of messages from my boyfriend Cody, I opened up my messages and taped on Cody's name
(Conversation)
Cody: hey
Cody: you there
Cody:hello brook
Cody: Brooklyn
You: yeah
Cody: finally what took you so long to answer
You: sorry I was dealing with Tyler
Cody: are you ok
You: no not really
Cody: why what's wrong
You: well 1. I'm worried about Tyler,about the way he's acting 2. Mum's not home and lastly there's no food.
Cody: I'm gonna come over
You: you don't have to
Cody: I want to
You: ok
Cody: love you ❤️
You: love you 2
(End of conversation)
I turned my phone off and placed it on the coffee table that was in front of me,while sitting down on the couch, turning the tv on while I wait.
I skipped though the channels but I couldn't find anything to watch so I grabbed my phone and connected it to the tv so I could watch Netflix, I went to my continue to watch and picked pretty little liars seeing as I am rewatching it.
After watching about 5 episodes of pll the door bell rang I paused Netflix and stood up from the couch, walking over to the door and opening it and there I saw standing Cody with a pizza box in his left hand and a smile of his face. I smiled walking up to him "you are a life saver" I said as I kissed his lips "I know I am" he said chuckling, while pulling back from the kiss. I hit his arm playfully, while turning around walking inside with him right behind me. He placed the box of pizza on the kitchen counter, opening it to reveal a pineapple pizza. I grabbed 3 plates out one for me, one for Cody and one for Tyler and started grabbing the pizza placing it on the plate. I walked upstairs to Tyler's room and knock on the door with my spare hand and to my surprise he actually opened it "Cody brought pizza "thanks" he said grabbing the plate out of my hand, he was about to close the door but stoped him "what" he said "are you ok" I said "I'm fine" he said then closed the door. I signed then headed back down stairs to cody knowing he wasn't.
After an hour of eating dinner and watching Netflix me and Cody were in my room laying in the dark just laying there cuddling. "Are you ok" Cody asked me while looking at me "tbh no" I said looking up tears swallowing in my eyes "hey come here" he said pulling me closer to him, I rested my head on his chest relaxing as I heard his heart beat "you wanna talk about hit" he asked as he moved some strands of hair out of my face. I nodded "I'm worried about ty ever since dad died he's just been different" I started of by saying "it's ok he'll get through it like you did, ok he's strong." Cody said tracing my cheek with his thumb "i know but I'm scared that he's going to do something stupid and hurt himself and I can't afford to lose him too" I said as tears began to fall.
After an hour I had already stoped crying, I was laying on Cody cause he fell asleep eventually I fell asleep cause I didn't have to worry cause my mom has a key so she can get in herself.
(A/N: I hoped you guys enjoyed it. Ik it's horrible but it's the first chapter hopefully it will get better.
