As the sun turned the sky a warm orange and pink, you knew that this was the greatest day of your life.
The love of your life was standing right in front of you, and you were holding her hands. Her deep blue eyes shone in the fading sunlight, mesmerizing you. She was the funniest, smartest, most beautiful girl you have ever laid eyes upon. You had known of your love for months, worrying how she would react, yet she said yes. She said yes to you asking her out on that awkward first date. She said how much she worried if you would accept her oddities, and you said that you would never love her less for anything.
You loved her with all your heart, and she loved you too. It was too good to be true, and yet you still accepted it.
As the sun set beyond the darkening sea, and as the sky turned from a warm orange and pink to a cool blue and indigo, you held your right hand at her cheek. This was it. You would finally be able to do what you had so longed to.
You leaned down to her, and she stood up to reach you, as you both softly-
