After a few seconds Alex looked at Zack who had a hopeful but yet a look of the fear rejection on his face.
"So? Do you like me back?" Asked Zack as he smiled placing a hand on the back of Alex's hand that was placed on the table in front of her, Alex jumped after zoning out for a second
"Sorry, um Zack I'm flattered, but.... I'm afraid I'm going to need to think about it, I just got out of a relationship, I do hope you understand," said Alex as she placed her other hand on top of Zack
"I understand, but when your ready, I'll be waiting," said Zack as he smiled, Alex smiled to
"Now I better get home before my parents have a fit, would you like to come over to do homework?" Asked Alex as she stood up
"Sure I'll be over tonight," smiled Zack, Alex smiled back and waved bye to the gang and walked out the door, Zack walked back to his friends
"So how did it go?" Asked Kelly Zack sighed, and sat next to her
"It went good but she said she needs time to think about it," said Zack,
"Well she did get out of a relationship Zack so I would give her some space," said Lisa As she gave Zack a pat on the back and walked out the door with Jessie, Kelly followed
Slater looks at Zack "why did she invite you over tonight if you guys aren't a thing?" Asked Slater as he placed air quotes around thing
"To work on homework," said Zack, this news shocked Slater who placed a hand on his chest and did a double take with his eyes twice
"Wait is this real? You working on homework? Your kidding?" Laughed Slater Zack shook his head no
"Yep," said Zack "well I better go to Alex house," said Zack
"Ok good luck," said Slater in a mocking way but at the same time waving bye, Zack looked at Slater and rolled his eyes and walked out of the Max

Meanwhile Alex was at home eating supper with her family when max spoke up
"Alexis invited a boy over," said Max as he looked at Alexis than making a kissy face making Alex roll her eyes
"If you don't stop I'll kill you here in a minute," said Alex as she pointed a fork at max then looking back at her plate, Aaron looked at Alex
"Who is this boy and do I know him?" Asked Aaron who crossed his arms
"His name is Zack Morris now please don't do anything embarrassing," said Alex
"I won't make any promises," said Max then Mary Alex's mother spoke up
"Kids... I think we should respect Alex's privacy," said Mary "besides your sister is going to be dating soon so,"
After Mary said that max gagged on the other hand Aaron was clenching his fists, as a big brother to Alex he has come to feel the need to protect her, so Alex decided to break the tension
"He's just a friend," said Alex "and he's coming over to do homework and that's final," said Alex then the doorbell rang "that must be him now," said Alex as she got up to answer the door, to Alex's surprise it was Darren
"Darren I was expecting someone else, why are you here?" Asked Alex Darren looked around and leaned over to Alex
"I know you may hate me now but can I at least talk to you?" Asked Darren as he gently grabbed Alex's arm Alex was confused
"Darren we broke up, you broke my trust,"
Darren sighed heavily as he ran his hand through his hair "I know I messed up but I just wasn't thinking about you at the time, besides the guys dared me,"
After Darren said that Alex scoffed "if they dared you than why did you do it when you had a girlfriend?" Said Alex as she was in the verge of tears
"Listen Alexis I-"
"I'm sorry isn't going to cut it we're done it's over Darren and I suggest you move on because we are never going to work," said Alex as she motioned to the two of them than slammed the door in Darren's face and after she did that she ran to her room
Meanwhile Zack heard the whole conversation from the bushes that were in Alexis yard, after Darren was out of sight he shook his head in a annoyed kind of way and walked to the front door to Alexis house, to his surprise, Aaron answered
"Hey um is Alex here?" Asked Zack Aaron looked at Zack then upstairs then back at Zack and nodded his head
"Cheer my sister up she really needs it," said Aaron then Zack nodded his head and ran upstairs, when he arrived at Alex's room he saw her on her bed with her face stuffed in a pillow, so Zack knocked on the door
"Go away!" Said Alex Zack took this chance to step inside her room
"I saw what happened," said Zack as he sat on Alex bed
"Why did I ever fall for a two timing pig like Darren," said Alex as she sat up
"He's not worth it so I wouldn't cry over a jerk like him," said Zack "anyway how about we go see a movie this weekend? It will cheer you up,"
Alex smiled at Zack "I would love that," said Alex leaned over to Zack to hug him Zack hugged back "anything for a friend," said Zack Alex pulled away "I thought about what you said at the Max and how would you like to be more than friends?" Asked Alex Zack smiled and did a happy dance making Alex give him weird looks
Zack sits back down "I would like that," said Zack as he smiled while holding one of Alex's hand
"Well I better get home before my mom has a cow," laughed Zack Alex laughed along then she leaned over to give Zack a kiss on the cheek, Zack looked at Alex shocked
"What was that for?" Asked Zack as he smiled, Alex smiled as well
"For making me realize how great of a guy you are," said Alex
"See you tomorrow Alex or should I say Lexi?"
"See you tomorrow," smiled Alex then Zack left smiling like a goof while Alex was smiling like crazy
