Hermione's POV

I couldn't help but pace the room, back and forth in front of Draco who was on the sofa that he had basically laid claim to at this point, he spent pretty much all day on there. I didn't understand how he wasn't sick of sitting there all day, every day. But it made it easy for me to find him and it was very easy to pace in front of him. I couldn't help but feel stressed, the fight that was so obviously coming was getting very close. I also couldn't help but worry about my parents, about Willow, Draco, Ginny, Harry and even Ron, what was going to happen to all of us. There was a very slim possibility we would all survive and if we did survive it might not necessarily be a good thing due to all the people that might not survive. Draco had stopped watching me after a while, probably because he got fed up with me constantly moving. When I stopped moving, that's when he looked up again.

"Could you sit or stand still for a second Hermione?" Draco asked, looking up at me. He was draped across the sofa looking as relaxed as ever, as if a war wasn't coming. I could have slapped him around the face, how could he look so relaxed. He needed to realise what was happening and get ready.

"No, I can't. Do you not realise what's happening Draco? Voldemort is getting ready, we should be getting ready too. There's obviously going to be some kind of fight, and soon. We are nowhere near ready and any of us could die. Then what will happen to Willow, to all of us? How are you not stressed, Draco? How are you sitting still? There's no way I can't be stressed right now, Draco. I'm worried for our future and my daughter's future, I don't want her to grow up without parents." I said, all in a rush. He just raised his eyebrows at me.

"Hermione you can't work yourself up like this. That won't make it any better or any easier or any less stressful. Just try not to think about it and focus on something else instead. Read a book or something. We're as ready as we can be. You're the most talented witch here, so if anything you are the most prepared and have the least to worry about. Just come and sit with me, when something happens, we will be ready." Draco said, beckoning me towards him. I sighed, hating the fact that he was right, as per usual. I went and perched on the edge of the sofa beside him, he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. "Just take a second and breathe." I nodded, inhaling deeply before leaning back into his arms. I was just starting to feel slightly relaxed, when Harry rushed in. He seemed to be a bit of a mess and slightly manic, his hair was all tousled. Ginny and Ron behind him, both looking vaguely concerned as to what had panicked Harry so much.

"We need to go to Hogwarts right now, we've got nothing else left to do. All the horcruxes we could find, we have destroyed. Whatever ones are left must be there or with Voldemort and if we go to Hogwarts then he will come too. That's all there is left to do, now we just need to face him. We need to leave. Get ready. Now." He said, with emphasis on the now. I jumped up faster than even I thought possible, Draco followed suit also getting to his feet very quickly. Ginny's face dropped, she knew she would have to stay behind because obviously nobody was going to let her come with us. Ron looked kind of afraid but he hid it well. I couldn't help but turn towards Draco, he had just convinced me to relax but I was right, the fight was coming soon, it was now. I definitely did not feel prepared, I felt stressed and scared also worried for my daughter. Willow! I left the room quickly, squeezing past Ron and Ginny. I ran up the stairs, until I reached my baby daughter asleep in her bed. I felt bad for a moment about waking her up but I needed to hold her, so putting that thought out of my mind, I picked her up. I held her against me, stroking her short, currently brown hair. As I did so, it went a pastel shade of pink. I felt her breathing softly against my neck, that's when I realised she was still asleep. She was normally a pretty light sleeper so the fact she slept through me picking her up was strange. She must have just been very tired. I heard Draco coming up the stairs, he stopped at the door, just watching me standing there with Willow. He obviously didn't want to interrupt but he was waiting for me so that we could go. I placed Willow carefully back in her bed, making sure that she didn't wake up. She made a small sound but stayed fast asleep. I placed a small kiss on her forehead before taking a step back, I grabbed my wand from my bedside table and followed him from the room and down the stairs to where everyone was waiting. Harry had his wand in his hand, Ron was just stood casually beside him as if we were about to go for a walk or something, not going to fight Voldemort at Hogwarts. Ginny looked upset as she stood by the fireplace, spinning her wand around in her hand. I went over to her, giving her a tight hug.

"Look after yourself and look after my Willow too." I said, taking a step back. She smiled at me.

"Of course, I'll make sure she stays nice and tucked up in bed. She won't even notice you're gone. I promise and she will be ready for when you come home." She said. Harry gave her a quick hug and a kiss goodbye. Then me, Draco, Harry and Ron all joined hands and we apparated away to Hogwarts.
