Plot: Roman decides to finally take Patton on their first date after much procrastination. He wanted it to be perfect.

Other: Lyrics slightly altered to fit story.

Roman was extremely nervous. He had asked Patton out on a date about two weeks ago. He wanted their first date to be perfect so he stayed up late to think of ideas. He ended up with the perfect plan. He was going to take Patton out on a picnic under the stars. He had set up a small thing so fairy lights hung around them but they could still see the stars.

Roman carefully guided the blindfolded Patton to their picnic spot. "Just a bit more." His heart fluttered in his chest as he heard Patton giggle.

"Aaannnnddddd you can take off the blindfold now," Roman said, letting him go so he could take for the blindfold.

Patton took off the blindfold and let his eyes adjust. His eyes widened in awe as he saw what laid before him. "It's beautiful! You set this up for us?"

Roman nodded. "Yep. This is why it took so long for us to have our first date," he said with a nervous laugh. "I wanted it to be perfect and I couldn't think of something that would be good enough."

"Awe, Roman!" Patton hugged him tightly. "Anything you make is good enough! I love it!"

Roman smiled and hugged him back. He then motioned to the picnic. "Shall we?"

Patton smiled brightly and nodded. "Lets!" He went and sat down on one side of the small table as Roman sat down on the other side of the table.

"These are the freshest strawberries in the imagination. I picked them myself," Roman said as he opened a container of chocolate covered strawberries. "I also made the chocolate myself. I asked Logan for help because I had no idea how to make chocolate."

Patton giggled. "They look amazing, Roman!" Roman smiled and fed Patton one of the strawberries. Patton smiled brightly and spoke once he finished it. "That tastes amazing!"

The two started some small talk as Roman had Patton try the food he had made for him. After Patton had tried everything, Roman decided to start the main event. He played a song on his phone and looked at Patton.

"You can be the peanut butter to my jelly, you can be the butterflies I feel in my belly," Roman began, looking at Patton in the eyes with a soft smile on his face. "I can be the captain, and you can be my first mate. You can be the chills that I feel on our first date." Patton giggled at the mention of 'first mate' remembering his Gryffindor outfit.

"I can be the hero and you can be my sidekick. You can be the tear that I cry if we ever split. You can be the rain from the cloud when it's stormin'
Or you can be the sun when it shines in the mornin'," Roman sang as he moved a piece of hair from in front of Patton's face. He smiled seeing his beautiful baby blue eyes.

"Don't know if I could ever be without you 'cause boy you complete me. And in time I know that we'll both see that we're all we need." Roman gently held Patton's face in his hand as he sung. His heart fluttered in his chest. Patton was so gorgeous.

"'Cause you're the apple to my pie." His heart flipped seeing Patton smile from the wordplay. "You're the straw to my berry.
You're the smoke to my high, and you're the one I wanna marry." Roman smiled seeing the way Patton blushed brightly at the last line.

"'Cause you're the one for me, for me. And I'm the one for you, for you. You take the both of us, of us. And we're the perfect two," Roman sang as he gently caressed Pattons cheek with his thumb. Patton put his hand on Roman's and held it against his face. "We're the perfect two. Baby me and you. We're the perfect two."

Patton smiled, happily listening to Roman. His voice was amazing. He clearly got most, if not all, Thomas's singing talent. "I can be the prince and you can be my princess. You can be the sweet tooth I can be the dentist. You can be the shoes and I can be the laces. You can be the heart that I spill in the pages.

"You can be the vodka and I can be the chaser." Roman laughed a bit at the face Patton made at the mention of alcohol. "You can be the pencil and I can be the paper. You can be as cold as the winter weather, but I don't care as long as we're together."

"'Cause you're the one for me, for me. And I'm the one for you, for you. You take the both of us, of us. And we're the perfect two. We're the perfect two. We're the perfect two. Baby me and you. We're the perfect two.

"Don't know if I could ever be without you, 'cause boy you complete me. And in time I know that we'll both see. That we're all we need. 'Cause you're the apple to my pie. You're the straw to my berry. You're the smoke to my high. And you're the one I wanna marry." Roman made his way over to the other side of the table to Patton.

"'Cause you're the one for me, for me. And I'm the one for you, for you. You take the both of us, of us. And we're the perfect two. We're the perfect two. Baby me and you. We're the perfect two.

"You know that I'll never doubt ya. And you know that I think about ya. And you know that I can't live without ya. I love the way that you smile." Patton smiled at the line. He had just been sitting there listening to Roman's beautiful voice. "And maybe just in a while. I can see me walking down the aisle."

Patton's face lit up as he heard the words. He noticed how there was truth in Roman's eyes behind the lyrics. He turned even more red as Roman placed his forehead to Pattons.

"'Cause you're the apple to me pie. You're the straw to my berry. You're the smoke to my high. And you're the one I wanna marry," he sang, words slowing a bit as his voice got softer. Patton's made eye contact with the prince as he felt his heart begin to race.

"'Cause you're the one for me, for me. And I'm the one for you, for you. You take the both of us, of us. And we're the perfect two." His voice became softer and softer. "We're the perfect two." The space between them slowly started closing. "Baby me and you..." Closer. "We're the perfect two..."

The distance quickly closed as their lips connected. Patton's lips tasted like cookies and bakes sweets while Roman's lips tasted like cherries. The combination was sweet and wonderful.

The two sides both melted into the kiss. They were both upset when they had to pull back for air. Roman kept their foreheads together as they looked into each other's eyes. A smile crept up on Roman's face.

Patton smiled as well. "I love you, Roman."

Roman's smile somehow grew. "I love you too, Patton."

The end.

Awwww such a beautiful ending! I'm proud of this one 😌 Roman and Patton are so cute together!
