Promise.
A word that people use way to often.
I promise I love you
I promise I'll be there for you
I promise to never leave you
And so on.
But do they mean it?
Do they really mean it?
Do we mean anything to them?
Or is it all lies.
Just a bunch if crap to get you to leave them alone.
All just something to make you feel better about yourself.
Do they just stay with you so that you won't be alone?
It's not like they care anyway.
No one does.
No one that should anyway.
So they will keep making promises.
And those promises will continue to be lies.
And the people that say them?
They don't care.
Promises are like rules and hearts.
Designed to be followed,
But end up being broken.
