Pools of deep blue surrounded the jagged rocks by the cliffs edge.

Each  looking merciless and intimidating as I looked at them taunting me beneath me.

Here's the thing. I'm not some teenager who is tired of being bullied.

This was my quiet place. The one place where I could hide from my responsibility just for a little bit.

I took off the sundress and went for the dive. The free fall was exhilarating.

And the cool water embraced me in its arms.
