The one that got away

**************Jos POV***********

Today was the second day on set and I'm so excited to finally have this thing actually rolling!

As I'm coming out of the costume trailer I suddenly bump into something

"Oh shit I'm sorry" I say without looking at what I ran into

"Oh,no it's my fault sorry!" I hear a voice say

"Oh,Patrick I'm sorry! I was not paying attention" I say once I realize who I ran into

"Ok so we aren't going to agree who ran into who" Patrick giggles

It's the first time I've heard him giggle....it's cute

I just smile and ask  "yeah let's take equal blame?"

"Haha deal" Patrick says as he sticks his hand out to shake mine

I lift my hand and shake his.....his hand is warm and much bigger than mine.....but not as warm as another co-star of mine.......wait STOP Jo stop why are you thinking of Hero?

"Um earth to Jo?" Patrick suddenly snaps me out of my thoughts

"Oh sorry!" I say as I finally yank my hand from his

"It's ok just wanted to make sure you weren't having a stroke or something" he says with his pretty smile

"No sorry it was just a long day.....I guess I'm more tired than I realized" I sigh

"Oh? So your to tired to grab a bite of food with me?" Patrick ask shyly

Wait?! Is he asking me out?!

"Oh.....um......I mean I am hungry" I says back shocked

"Ok so is that yes if so.....I need to change still but do you want to meet me at the gate in 20?" He asks

"Yes,it's a yes and that sounds good!" I smile at him

"Ok" Patrick says as he walks away to change

WHAT.JUST.HAPPENED?!? Ok Jo Ok Breathe

I don't know why but I suddenly have this urge to call Hero and ask.....well permission???

Before I can stop myself I am calling Hero

"Hello?" Hero answers groggily

"Oh...shit I forgot it's like 6 am your time....I'm sorry I'll call back later...." I say but I'm cut off

"Jo it's fine what's up?" Hero ask

"Well....um I don't know why I feel like I need to tell you this but Um......."

I'm about to finish and tell him about Patrick when I hear a noise in the background........Wait....is that a girl? Hero's with a girl at 6 am......that can only mean one thing......

"Hello Jo?" Hero says

"What was that in the background Hero? I heard someone say something......why are you with someone at 6 am?" I ask him

"Oh it's just my sister" Hero says quickly

No it's not I've talked to Mercy and she doesn't sound like that.....why is he lying to me?

"Oh....." is all I can manage to say

"So you were saying something......it seemed pretty important" Hero changes the subject quickly

"Oh um yeah um I just finished my second day of filming and wanted to tell you that's all....I'm sorry for waking you...I've got to go bye!" I say quickly and hang up

Why do I have this put in my stomach right now?

I almost jump out of my pants when I hear Patrick behind me

"Hey ready to go?" He ask

"Um yeah.....so where are we going?" I ask

"Well....what are you hungry for?" He ask back
