A made for TV movie that never got an English dub, but that may be for the best as I thoroughly enjoyed this movie as it was.

Our main character, Taku, is introduced to the new girl in school named Rikako. They meet through a shared friend named Yutaka, who is in love with the new girl who moved from the city of Tokyo.

The movie itself is really good for some reason, but then again, I think High School Musical is the greatest movie of all time. Maybe the typical, soppy, cliche high school love stories are just a hit with me.
It's a movie many rarely talk about, let alone seen it. Which is a shame because there aren't many faults in this film, but there surely are a few.
For some reason the director made it seem like Taku was gay for Yutaka, and I really thought something was going to happen, but of course nothing ever did. I don't know if they intended on portraying their friendship that way, but that is how it came across to me. A minor 'issue' but nothing too big.

Hopefully we can all agree that Rikako wasn't the best character in terms of personality. She tricked her friend into almost going to Tokyo with her using tickets she bought with Taku's money. She was also really rude to certain people at certain times and seemed like two seperate people depending on where she was. I guess you still have to have a bit of sympathy for her, as she has gone through a lot, but there are much better ways to deal with such problems.

This is by no means making the movie not worthy of watching. Just because a character is written as a bad person, rarely ever means that a movie itself is bad. As a matter of fact, as unlikeable as Rikako was, she made me want to keep watching.
Other than that, the animation is not top-notch ghibli animation, however it probably wasn't expected to make it as big as their other productions.
There rest of the movie was pretty good. Just your average teen movie about average teens doing average teen things, but actually good.
