"We're gonna camp for the night and take shifts." Despite all of the excitement from earlier you're feeling like you could run miles without breaking a sweat.

"Then who'll take first watch?" Annabeth asks, clearly looking exhausted.

"I'll take the first watch." You volunteer, knowing that you're the most awake out of everyone.

"I'll take second." Percy begins to make a pillow out of leaves.

"I'll take third." Grover follows what Percy did.

"That leaves me with last watch." Annabeth states, following suit of Grover and Percy.

"Okay, I'll wake you up when it's your turn Percy." You lean up against a tree, smiling in the dark as they slowly fall asleep. With them off in dream land you're left alone with your thoughts.

"Why did I have a 'dream' of Hades and Persephone? How did my mind even get to their domain?" Your mind asks multiple questions like this, before you're quickly snapped out of the dream when a lesser monster decides to approach your 'camp'

You draw your dagger, out of their sight, before throwing it right in between their eyes. With a soft sigh you retrieve your dagger before reaching into your sweatshirt pocket and pulling out a small box of animal crackers.

You place the small empty box into the side pocket of your backpack, knowing Grover would enjoy the box later.

With your dagger laid next to you, you pull out a notebook and begin to draw. Funny thing, the more stressed you are the more we'll drawn the sketches are. And this is the most you've ever been stressed, so naturally you end up drawing the Mona Lisa from memory, even going back to do shading.

And before you knew it you were done. Frowning you look at the ground around you, clearly disgusted with the trash. You begin to pick it all up, tying it in one of the paper bags left behind. As you wipe your brow you're partially blinded from the rising sun.

"Shit, I forgot to wake Percy up for his watch." You shake your head before going to wake the sleeping trio, "We should get going before our scent attracts any higher tier monsters." You sheath your dagger and place the notebook away.

Percy speaks up, "How come you didn't wake me up?"

"Didn't feel the need to. What I did feel though was alertness, and luckily only one lesser monster was willing to try and attack us last night." You report, still feeling alert and awake. But still very stressed.

"Wait." Grover sits down with a dirty, pink poodle, "Where did all the trash go?" He looks at the clean ground.

"In this bag," you hold it up, "Disgusts me how dirty people can be."

"What are you planning on doing with the bag?" Percy asks

"It's practically just cans with some paper wrappers, all of which is recyclable." You begin to lay your plan out to them.

"We need more people like you," Grover sighs, "Well at least this brave poodle is our ticket West." He says, praising it.

The poodle looks unhealthily thin, and as it opens it's mouth you expect it to make a sound like "yap" or something but you actually understand it.

"What's up with Mr. Gawking?" He asks Grover, looking at Percy.

"Did you guys just hear that? Or am I going insane?" You're eyes widen as you stare at the dog in disbelief.

"What do you mean?" Percy asks, with a concerned look on his face.

"I swear he said something." You answer, clearly referencing the dog.

"You know what I'm saying?" He asks, trotting over to you.

"Grover, I might be wrong but satyrs can talk to animals right? So please confirm that I'm not losing my mind." You slowly move yourself away from the poodle.

"You aren't going insane." Grover looks at you thoughtfully. "It's interesting how all of a sudden you can understand animals."

Percy breaks out laughing, causing your face to slightly redden. "Shut up, man." You lightly push him, cracking a smile of your own.

"I'm sure we'll figure it out eventually." Grover shrugs, he then goes on how he met the poodle in the woods. And how the poodle ran away from a rich family, who of which were offering $200 for the return of the poodle.

"So we turn Gladiola, get the money, and buy tickets to Los Angeles." Annabeth says, simplifying it.

"Not another bus." Percy groans, remembering what happened with the Furies.

"At leader it's not a plane." You shrug and follow Grover who is holding the dog.
