I DOUBT IT

It was 10 am.

Nagdidiscuss si Mrs. Tuazon sa physics habang pinagmamasdan ko isa-isa ang mga kaklase ko.  They are all pretty and handsome. I just grinned at that thought.

By the way Hindi ko pala nasabi na I'm a grade 12 student at kunting rampa nalang and I will turn to college. I want to become a doctor.

"Ms. Arevalo could you give the definition of an atom?" Mrs. Tuazon inquired.

I stood and I confidently answered her question.

"An atom itself is made up of three tiny kinds of particles called subatomic particles: protons, neutrons, and electrons. The protons and the neutrons make up the center of the atom called the nucleus and the electrons fly around above the nucleus in a small cloud." I flipped my hair and I sat.

"Very good, it was a precise answer."

Lahat kami pabunggahay ng mga sagot. Lahat busog ang utak.

Minsan nga nagkakamali pa si Ma'am when it comes to balancing the elements.

I glanced at Romeo. He was staring at our teacher habang hinihimas -himas ang kauntimg balbas on his chin.

He was stunningly handsome. Gusto ko siya pero dedma lang. Balita ko hindi pa siya nagkagirlfriend even once.

I hope ako ang maging first. Alam Mo yun, yung legal wife kumbaga. Natawa nalang ako sa naisip ko. Haha...

"I have something to tell you guys and this is probably intriguing." Seryosong sabi ni Jessica one of my four rich friends.

"Ano na naman,  baka mamaya joke na naman ulit 'yan." Pagdududa ni Marcosa.

We were just sitting at the table and foods lay on it. 

I prepared my ears.

"Alam niyo ba na bali-balitang may isang babaeng natagpuan noon na nakahandusay malapit sa basurahan. Noong year 1994, may apat na saksak daw ang dibdib. Nagsimula na naman daw magparamdam,  every 3 o'clock in the morning. My gosh I am totally scared." "Do you know why?"

"WHY?" I said sternly.

"Sa mga teen-ager daw siya nagpaparamdam gaya natin. Hindi mo alam nasa kwarto mo na siya. Arrk... " She shouted.

"Tssk. What a nonsense tiding." I said and I crossed my arms on my chest.

"I don't care if hindi ka naniniwala Johanna. " Sabay subo niya ng sandwich.

Hindi ako mahilig magpaniwala sa ganyan,  bata lang ang takot sa mga yan.

After that we headed to our classroom,  my classmates were talking vigorously with different topics. I saw Romoe and he was just sitting on his chair while playing his guitar. He looked so serious. His eyes were closed as he sang Memories by Maroon 5. His voice sounds great,  and I love it.

Nakaupo na ako't tulalang pinagmamasdan ang aura niyang talaga namang nakakabighani.

I took my phone and stole a picture of him. Gosh!  Kailan kaya niya ako mapapansin.

I bugger off on my chair at sumubok akong lapitan siya.

I was successful,  tumayo lamang ako sa tabi niya. Habang ang mga kamay ko were closed and stretched down at my back.

My classmates didn't notice what I was doing. They were seriously whispering to one another,  including my four friends. I knew mga crushes na naman ang inaatupag nila habang panay ang scroll on their smartphones. Luckily,  that time was vacant for the last subject.

Maya-maya I grabbed a chair at ipinwesto ko iyon sa tabi niya. My gosh napakakapal talaga ng face ko.

Suddenly,  there was word that popped out from my lips.

"Hello-" I said timidly.

Nagulat siya nang iharap niya ang mukha niya sa akin.

"Ah...hi!" Nahihiya rin na sabi niya.

"Do you need something?" At agad naman akong nakasagot.

"Ah, wala naman I just like your voice it sounds great." Nahihiya ko ring sabi at hinimas-himas ko ang kaliwang braso ko.

"Would you mind kung magrequest ako ng isang kanta? I asked.

"Ah,  yeah sure what is it?" He looked grateful.

"Yung ano,  Girls like you.  Since kanta rin naman yan ng Maroon 5." At napangiti na lamang ako sa request ko.

"Oo naman."

At inumpisahan na niya ang kanta. Sa intro palang ng kanta talagang nakakapanlumo.

Damang-dama niya ang kanta.

Napalingon naman ang mga kaklase ko.

Lumapit sila at naghiwayan at sumabay sa agos ng kanta.
