7/10 before development and an 8/10 after because honestly the trope is overused but she's still cute so
I honestly love her but I think that her character could be so much more. She's adorable and I find her aspiration of getting this job for her family admirable, but if that's all she were there for she could have taken a bunch of other jobs. She may have mistaken being a hero as easy, and that upsets me just a little bit. I think that her liking Deku is relatable so I can't really get on her for that, but the trope is overused. As her character develops, it's clear that she is working hard to overcome her crush to improve and focus on other things, and that is also admirable. Setting that aside, I think that her motivations are a bit weak. She, like Todoroki, needs to find something to fight for. Getting money for her family isn't enough to get her through life or death situations. She has a likable and lovable personality, though she could have a bit more depth. (Aaaaa sorry for the rant I just have really mixed emotions)
Good: Bubbly and optimistic Hard worker Cute Wants to improve and it shows Has a decent grasp on positive humility
Bad: Overused trope- Physically weak (but is working on that) Not much depth to her character tbh Weak motivation
