I didn't wait until Deku left to run into my bedroom and slam the door behind me, pressing my back against it and sliding to the floor. Moments after, I could hear the front door opening and closing and my phone buzz from my pocket. I pulled it out and threw it across the room, hitting a wall and cracking the screen. I didn't give two shits.
I hit my head against the door. Feeling the pain felt nice. Everything else was so numb right now that feeling the searing pain go through me felt like a relief. I did it again, and again, and again, each time hitting my head harder. Each time feeling the jab of agony, each time feeling myself go dizzy for a split second before my vision straightened out again. The pain was comforting. It let me know that I was still alive. But it also let me know that I wasn't dreaming. That this whole disaster was actually happening. Deku was actually engaged to Todoroki.
I sat there for the rest of the morning, ignoring the alarm that started to go off at 5. I ignored it. Eventually it became muffled and echoed, just as Deku's voice had earlier when he said my name. The alarm kept going off for hours as I sat on the floor against my door. It finally stopped as it was getting dark outside, leaving me to assume my phone died. That still didn't make me get up though.
I drifted off to sleep in that position, not knowing what time it was. When I awoke the next morning, my ass hurt like hell. But I wasn't on the floor anymore. I was laying in my bed, a familiar body next to me. I turned my head to see and a calm, resting face with red hair and eyebrows, a small scar over the right eyelid. The boy's eyes opened, revealing a set of crimson red pupils. He smiled, showing off sharp, jagged teeth.
"Good morning kitten" He said sweetly. "I called you a few times earlier but you didn't answer so I stopped by. When I came in, you were laying in the floor in front of the door, your cracked phone on the other side of the room. I put you in bed and charged your phone. Today's Saturday by the way. It's almost 6. I'll let you wake up and get ready for our date, ok?"
I nodded.
"By the way, is everything alright? I came by yesterday and expected you to wake up but you've been out for forever. When I got here, your eyes were red and puffy and your face was, and still is, really pale."
"I'm ok" I said, getting out of bed. I didn't have much feeling in my legs, so walking was hard, but the feeling I did have hurt like a bitch.
I took a warm shower, my mind blank. I moved around, getting ready, feeling as if I was in a dream. Everything felt unreal, blurry, distant. Whenever Kirishima talked to me, I barley heard him but my mouth still knew exactly what to say.
I pulled on a pair of dark blue pants, a red dress shirt complete with a black tie, and a blue vest over the outfit. The vest had a pattern of flowers on the sides, making me want to gag as I remembered the taste of roses in my mouth.
Kirishima put on grey pants, a black dress shirt, red tie, and a grey blazer. "Well don't you look ravishing" he joked.
"Shut up" I muttered and he laughed. I followed him to his car where he drove me to this really fancy restaurant.
I barley ate when we got there. I forced down a small amount of food. It made me sick to my stomach. I felt full after one bite. But I tried my best to eat as much as possible since, of course, Kirishima was paying. The meals combined costed about $70 but he didn't mind as he had a decent amount of money. His expensive car, outfit, and choice of dining showed that off rather well.
After dinner, he drove me to a very familiar area downtown. I didn't pay attention to where we were driving, as I was picking at my fingernails. It wasn't until I felt the car come to a stop that I looked up. My face changed into a look of horror at the site in front of me. We were parked in a very familiar lot. A small bakery was sitting across the street directly in front of us. I looked around the parking lot, seeing a couple familiar cars. Kaminari's, Shinsou's, and Yaoyorozu's vehicles were surrounding us.
Kirishima got out and quickly ran to my side to open the door for me. I got out too and followed him across the street. We heard the little bell ring and familiar faces turned towards us. Kaminari, Sero, Ashido, Jirou, Yaoyorozu, and Shinsou all sat at tables and in the couches. Deku was standing behind the counter, preparing pastries for everyone, another man with multi-colored hair helping him out.
"So this is the surprise?" I asked Kirishima. "You brought me this fucking cafe."
"Hun this is where we met" Kirishima said. "And not this isn't the surprise. You'll get your surprise in a bit" He grabbed my waist and pulled me over to a table where Sero and Ashido were sitting. I sat in the remaining chair and Kirishima stood behind me, wrapping his arms around my neck.
"Hey Bakubro!" Sero exclaimed. He was holding another plain bagel.
"Tch" I replied, annoyed at the nickname him and Kaminari had for me. "Your so fucking weird" I said, addressing the bagel. "Who the hell eats plain bagels? With nothing on them? It's disgusting" He shrugged and took another bite. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey Kacchan!!" said a voice to my left. I turned to see Deku walking towards me with a platter of blueberry muffins, the dual-haired boy behind him. "Kirishima told me you haven't eaten in a while so I made you some muffins!! Jeez, is everything ok? I tried to text you and call you after I left but you didn't pick up."
"I'm fine Deku"
"You don't look it. Your face is pale and looks kinda dull. And your eyes look lifeless. Come on Kacchan, talk to me."
"I'm fine Deku!!" I yelled. He jumped.
"S-sorry." He stammered. "This is Todoroki by the way" He continued, gesturing to the man. "Todo, this is Bakugou" Todoroki gave me a small nod in greeting and I did the same back. "Ok I'll leave you two at it. I'm going to get started on some strawberry mochi!!"
"Wait Midoriya!" Kirishima said, letting go of my neck. "Hold on kitten, I'll be right back. Midoriya I need to talk to you" He followed Deku into the back room. I looked to Todoroki. He gave me a glare and turned away, joining Deku and my boyfriend.
I sighed and looked around. Sero and Ashido were talking to Jirou and Yaoyorozu. Kaminari and Shinsou were basically on top of each other on a couch on the other side of the cafe, talking very quietly and smirking to each other. Kaminari suddenly caught me staring, giving me a glare like Todoroki did, before returning back to his heated conversation with Shinsou. I turned away, letting them be.
Thankfully, Deku, Kirishima, and Todoroki came back, another barstool in Deku's hands. He set it down in the middle of the room, allowing Kirishima to climb on top of it.
Kirishima raised his arms up and clapped once, making the conversations and chatting die down as every focused their attention toward him.
"Now" he began. "All of you know why we're here tonight. In this tiny bakery in the middle of nowhere. No offense Midoriya. Bakugou doesn't though. Which is why he's about to find out. Bakugou. Kitten." He jumped down off the barstool, his feet made a loud noise on impact with the floor. He grabbed my hands in his own and continued his talking, staring into my eyes. "Remember when we met? Four years ago? I worked here in this little cafe. You came in one day, asking for a cup of water. You had been out running and forgot some, thinking you could get some here for free. It was against the rules but I let it slide, mostly because I honestly thought you were going to kill me." He paused to laugh. "We fell in love and started dating a year later. I introduced you to my friends and they instantly fell in love you just as I did. Remember when we adopted the name 'The Bakusquad'? You weren't even an og yet Ashido still insisted we call ourselves that. Me and you have been through up and downs, thick and thin together. I love you Bakugou. So much. I know recently, things have been haywire with this whole Hanahaki's disease, but I honestly believe we'll get through it. Together. You and me. Which is why I need to ask you something." He reached into his back pocket, pulling out a small box covered in a deep red velvet. He dropped to one knee, opening the box. I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth, tears forming at my eyes, as I realized what was going on. Why we were here. Why all my friends were here.
"Katsuki Bakugou," Kirishima continued. "Will you marry me?"
