the next morning, as they were talking in bed, a memory came to visit jeno's mind.

it was the start of autumn, jeno's favorite season.

he was walking his sister's dog alone at the park, enjoying the scenery. not something most 12 year olds would do, but jeno's a bit different than other kids.

there's a big tree near the playground at the park, the tree jeno would sit under and just observe his surroundings.

but that day, someone else is there, hugging their knees tightly. this little boy seemed familiar to jeno. very familiar.

"are you okay?" little jeno asked, but the boy only shakes his head. jeno sat beside him, and so is his sister's dog.

"its autumn, you know? the season of falling leaves, but it doesn't mean you should let yourself fall as well. you aren't just some pretty leaves that come and go with the season, you should be as strong as this tree, always there for me to lean on. now cheer up, will you?"

the boy looked at jeno and nods, realizing he should be strong, strong enough so he can always have jeno's back.

"i do remember that, it was the day we shared our first kith" hyuck said mockingly, and proceed to kiss jeno.
