I wake up in a hospital bed, and everything hurt. I take out my IV, and get out of bed, but I fell. I held onto the bed, and got up, and limped to the door, and so I tried to open it, but it was locked. I banged on the door waiting for someone to come, and I heard someone coming. I backed away from the door, and was ready to fight whoever it was. A police officer, and a doctor came in the room.

"Why don't calm down miss, and sit on the bed," the officer says holding her hand on her gun.

"We are here to help. I'm Dr. Steven Edwards. That's Officer Dawn Lerner. What's your name?" The doctor explained as I sit on the bed. "Not a talker are you?" The doctor questioned checking my leg.

"What are her injuries?" Officer Dawn asked.

"Couple of fractured ribs, a broken leg, and mild concussion nothing we can't handle." The Doctor explained.

"Dawn here are the crutches you asked for." A women, whose voice sounds familiar, says, as she is coming into then room with us. Dawn takes the crutches, and I get up.

"Beth," I say looking at her.

"Madi." Beth say hugging me.

Dawn hands me the crutches, "So, I'm guessing you two know each other?" Dawn questioned. I nod my head, and I stand up with the crutches. "Then, well Beth can tell you how things work around here." The officer mentioned before they both leave.

"Where is Carol is she..?" I start to ask.

"She is fine. She's fine." Beth says to not worry me.

"Can I see her?" I asked.

"Sure, but first you need to get use to those crutches." Beth laughs. I follow her, and she brings me to Carol.

"I'll be back with some food. Just hang out here for now." Beth tells me. I nod my head, and sat down on the floor, as Beth left the room.

After a while, Beth comes back with a sandwich, "This is all they had to offer me." Beth says handing me the sandwich.

"Thanks." I say trying not to cry.

"I leave you some alone time just make sure you eat." Beth says leaving.

After I ate my sandwich I stood up next to the bed. "Carol, I need you. Your my family, and you taught me how to survive. You made me a strong, Independent women." I confessed as I'm tearing up. "I don't know what I'll do without you. So, please pull through." I say worried as Beth comes into the room. I sit next to her on the floor.

"She will wake up. It's Carol." Beth mentioned as I lay my head on her, and eventually fall asleep.

I get woken up by Beth. "Goodmorning sunshine." I hear Carol says. I jump up, and limp over to her, and hug her for a long time.

"I'm glad your awake." I exclaimed letting go as Beth hands me my crutches.

"You all should get dress. Your getting out of here." Officer Dawn mentions knocking on the door. We all get dress in the clothes that we had on before. I then follow Beth, the doctor, and Carol to where we are leaving. Carol, Beth and me hold hands. (The outfit she wears is up top)

"Holster your weapons." Dawn ordered her officers. Rick, Sasha, Daddy, Tyreese, and some other kid with three officers comes in.

"They haven't been harmed." Rick says to Dawn as two officers who let them in comes back.

"Where's Lamson?" Dawn asked them.

"Rotters got him." The lady officer explained.

One of the male officers says, "We saw it go down."

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. He was one of the good guys. One of yours for one of mine." Dawn ordered. First is was Carol, then me, and then Beth was last.

"Glad we could work things out." Dawn admitted as I hug Beth, and Daddy, and he hands me a gun to use.

We start to leave, but Officer Dawn argued, "Now I just need Noah. And then you can leave."

"That wasn't part of the deal." Rick says going back to her.

"Noah was my ward. Beth took his place and I'm losing her, so I need him back." Dawn explained to Rick.

"Ma'am, please, it's not..." One of the officers starts.

"Shepherd! My officers put their lives on the line to find him. One of them died." Dawn shouted.

"No, he ain't staying." Daddy added letting go of my hand.

"He's one of mine. You have no claim on him." Officer Dawn argued to Daddy.

"The boy wants to go home, so you have no claim on him." Rick explained to her.

"Well, then we don't have a deal." Dawn explained.

"The deal is done." Rick mentioned.

"It's okay." The kid who I think is Noah says going up to Rick.

"No. No." Rick disagrees knowing this isn't right.

"I got to do it." Noah added handing Rick his gun.

"It's not okay." I hear Beth whisper next to me.

"It's settled." Dawn says as Noah goes to them.

"Wait!" Beth yells stopping Noah, and hugging him. I limp over next to Daddy holding my gun.

"I get it now." Beth shouts in Dawn face as she stabs her with small scissors, and Dawn shoots Beth. I hold up my gun quickly and shoot her point blank.

Everyone raises their guns, and one of the officers yells, "No! Hold your fire! It's over. It was just about her. Stand down." Carol comes up behind me, and I cry in her shirt. "You can stay." The officer finishes.

"We're surviving here. It's better than out there." Another officer says. Carol takes my gun out my hands, and never let go of me.

"No. And I'm taking anyone back there who wants to leave. If you want to come with us just step forward now." Rick says trying not to cry, and help others. Sasha puts her gun on her back, and picks me up. We walk outside, and all I can hear is Maggie wailing, and all I could think about was 'She didn't deserve to die.'
