Hello, free-roaming creatures of the universe! I want to let you all know that an update is coming in a few hours (I've just finished my final exams today after suffering a month of them) and in the meantime, I've posted a prequel one-shot to this story called For Island Fires and Family that is from Lily's point of view and how she came to love James. It explains this story's main plot (if you kinda squint and you're smart) and since we'll never get to see Lily's point of view in this story, I thought it would be a lovely input and a background story. 

You can find it on my profile easily enough, although I do warn you ahead that it's a long one-shot that I've written in one sitting when I had a final the next day -10 thousand words- so there might be typos and errors, please point them out to me if you like. 

I'll be back with the next chapter in a jiffy :)
