New Year's Eve, 2018

Stacy's POV

"Do you really have to leave on New Year's Eve, Graser?" I asked, holding back my tears.

He visited me for Christmas, and we had so much fun, but now it's the worst part of visiting.

The goodbyes.

"I'm sorry, Stace. I know. But we'll see each other soon, I'm sure!" "I hope so."

We hugged for awhile, and my mom watched us, also looking sad.

One week before...

"Graser!" "Stacy!"

We ran to each other, and hugged. "It's been too long!" Graser exclaimed, chuckling. "I know, Grase! Well.. no. We saw each other at VidCon." "That was almost two years ago, Stacy. Where have you been?" ".. Living under a rock according to my friends and family." I said, he laughed.

And when someone ran into me and didn't even apologize, I remembered it was the day before Christmas Eve and the airport was mayhem.

"Let's get out of here. Please." I said, grabbing Graser's hand.

So we didn't get separated within the hundreds of people, we walked back to the car hand in hand. And once we made it and got in the car, both our stomachs growled at the same time. We both looked down at our stomachs, then we looked at each other and laughed. "I guess we should go get something to eat, huh?" I asked. "Sure." "What do you want?" "I don't care. I'll eat anything." ".. Uhh.. I'm thinking. I never know what I want cause I'm picky. I'm picky, and I can't have gluten which is in like.. seventy percent of foods so.. I just have a grand ol' time when it comes to eating." I said. ".. That's highly unfortunate." He replied. "Totally. Anyway.. do you want pizza or something?" ".. Actually, I'm going to do something crazy and say no to pizza. I had it for breakfast."

I rolled my eyes with a chuckle, he laughed. "Well... geez. Why is this so hard? Um..." "Do you like Mexican food?" "Surprisingly, I do not. And I'm half Mexican so I feel like there's an issue there." I said, he laughed. "Is that why you have such a crazy last name?" He asked. "Yes. My last name came from Spain. Why are you just now learning this about me?" I asked. "I'm not actually cause now that you say that, I remember you telling me that before." ".. Good. I'm glad you know me so well." I said, sarcastically. He laughed again.

I decided to just take a drive down the main drag, and decide on a restaurant that way. But eventually, I had an idea.

Both our football teams were playing in a few minutes, and there's plenty of sports bars around town.

"Hey, should we go to a bar and watch the games?" I asked. ".. Genius." He replied. I faintly giggled.

We went to the closest sports bar and grill called Gators, and when we walked in, there was a sign that said 'seat yourself.'

"Wanna sit at the actual bar?" Graser asked. I didn't really want to as a bunch of dudes were already checking me out. ".. No. That's ok." I said. He looked over, and saw the guys staring at me. But when Graser looked over there, they immediately turned around.

I suddenly felt safe, being with Graser.

We sat at a table in the middle of everything, right in between two tvs that were playing the games.

But we were both busy staring at the menu. And the waitress came before we were able to even pick a drink.

"Hello, how may I help you?" She asked. "Uhh.. can I just get a water?" I asked. "Mhm. And for you, sir?" "Uhh.. just water for now." "Ok. I will be right back." "Thanks."
