a soft grunt was heard from across the table. pure bliss was apparent as he gulped down and took another slurp emitting, yet another grunt of satisfaction. hot pristine smoke was dancing around his face, smothering his gorgeous feature with hot gas. but it seemed like he wasn't bothered even for a second judging by how he was devouring the oxtail soup like he just had his first meal after a millennium.
some people would usually go to karaoke or drink soju in the middle of the day when they skipped class. but here they are, skipping class for a bowl of oxtail soup.
seulgi was caught off by the scene. grasping her spoon in silence while watching him eat like a kid with a bowl of ice cream. she was sure enough that big bowl of hot savoury soup would be empty in less than four minutes. who knows jimin was a big fan of oxtail and small trashy restaurants located deep inside the alley of tong-in market. contrary to his branded shoe and wallet jimin was actually a down-to-earth person. a rare trait for a person that was loaded.
seulgi wasn't touching her soup at all until he finally dug his head up from the black bowl. surprised at how seulgi haven't touched her food yet.
"hey don't tell me you're one of those whiny brats who doesn't like eating in a small trashy restaurant." he was teasing. she knew it.
"what are you talking about." she whispered her answer in a tiny voice and started to dip her spoon inside the broth, taking a sip from the broth and her eyes immediately went big. "ya, this is to die for." seulgi then finally understood the euphoria jimin just went through after finishing his bowl in just three minutes.
he laughed at her reaction and poured some water into a glass. placing it right in front of seulgi who silently took a mental note to come here again sometimes.
"here. don't choke from the bones alright. i would run away if you choked because of swallowing an oxtail bone, that's too stupid to help for." seulgi was shooting him a stare for what jimin said but was silent after he talked, "really though. eat slowly seulgi-ya." he said in such warm tone that seulgi was feeling she could choke off her food right now, not because of oxtail bones, but the man in comfy sweatshirts right in front of her.

after jimin had three bowls of his favorite oxtail soup—now seulgi knew another fact that he's a big fan of oxtails—both of them were strolling around han river. attempting to digest the food they just ate by walking around, especially jimin.
seulgi envies his metabolism. the man had so much food yet still maintains to have a lean figure and perfect body proportion. such blessings.
it was just two when they were walking around the river and seulgi didn't know that han river would look this pretty at these hours. as the sunlight hits the water it flickered like sea of glitters, reflecting its various hues. the chilly wind hit her face and it is something seulgi usually hates but for some reasons, the wind rather brought a comfortable cooling effect. almost as if her soul was being whispered by chilly voice, calming her in ways she couldn't fathom.
seulgi felt like she's watching a scene from the movie she watched two nights ago. a scene where two lovers would row a small boat and have a romantic date on one afternoon in a lake. such cliches. but this wasn't the same case. they were just, friends. who barely knew each other but felt like they knew each other for a long time. all because of a mere coincidence inside a silly telephone box.
she was inside her own train of thoughts and almost didn't realize that jimin came into a halt. he leaned on the railings and closed his eyes, seemingly tried to enjoy the chilly wind.
"you know i sometimes wonder how life could be this funny." he finally talked. his voice was in such a warm tone that honey somehow reek from his breath.
"i feel like i'm a lot comfortable with you rather than with a friend i knew for four years. it's weird." he turned his body and looked into the river. his clear eyes reflects the flicker from the river, making his pairs looked like a deep galaxy waiting to be explored.
"probably because of my clumsiness. i always look so dumb in front of you it made me want to avoid you." seulgi tried to laugh it off. she stopped her laughing as soon as he catch his eyes looking at her. another gush of wind hits. filling up her nostrils with the signature baby powder scent from park jimin. sometimes she wondered if he really uses baby cologne on daily basis.
"no don't take it that way. it's just, rare to find somebody i can be comfortable with. to be the truest version of myself around them."
"and that is because?" seulgi tried to play it off cool when in reality her heart was hammering her chest like a group of marching band hitting on the drums.
"i don't know kang. i can't explain it either. it makes me afraid." he diverted his eyes back into the river. as if he was hiding to conceal his fear.
"you're afraid of me having to be clumsy allover again don't you?" she doesn't get it. he's trying to play with her mood.
"i'm afraid that i'll have to bid you goodbye soon."
