The next day, I managed to go to work. But gosh, my head was pounding hard. I didn't know what happened last night but I woke up in a hotel.
Maybe I checked in there when I got drunk.
But I remembered talking to Tiffany, it was embarrassing that she saw me got drunk easily. I needed to find her again. I wanted to be her friend.
I love her but I accepted long time ago that we can only be friends and nothing more than that.
Even if she doesn't know me, it's okay. I'll just introduce myself to her again.
I woke up from my trance when Juniel called me "Taeyeon... where did you go last night? I was worried because you just disappeared." She said concerned.
I massaged my nape "I'm sorry... I didn't have time to say goodbye last night. I-I went home." I lied as apologetically looked at her.
She sighed in relief "It's okay. Now that I see you, it relieves me because I thought you got drunk and someone took you."
If she only knew, she would panic. I thought.
Juniel is kinda overprotective of me. I appreciate it because I know that she cares for me.
"I'm alright Juniel, I just went home." I reassured her.
She smiled and nodded "Okay."
I smiled back.
"By the way, the new CEO has arrived," she informed.
"Really? What does he look like?" I asked curiously.
She shook her head "Not a he but she. She's young and beautiful but also intimidating."
My phone started ringing "Wait... I'll just answer it."
Juniel nodded "Sure."
I picked up the phone and answered "Hello, Kim Taeyeon speaking."
"Ms. Kim this is Secretary Choi, I would like to tell you that the new CEO is inviting you in her office right now."
"Me? Umm... o-okay I will go there," Why me? The CEO wants to talk to me? For real?
"Okay, I will tell her that you accepted. Thank you."
Then she hang up, I put down the phone and swallowed hard. I was flabbergasted by the fact that the CEO invited me to her office.
"What's wrong Taeyeon?" Juniel asked worried.
I looked at her still shocked "The CEO wants to talk to me now."
Juniel raised her eyebrows "Really? But why?"
"I don't know... I have no idea..."
"I think you should go now. Wow."
I nodded and stood up "Yeah... right. Wish me luck."
"Good luck."
I hope that would work as a lucky charm.

"Hello madam, Ms. Kim is here." Ms. Choi said through the phone.
"Okay madam," she put down the phone and looked at me. "You may come in," she raised her hand pointing at the door of the CEO's office.
"Thank you," I politely said.
Ms. Choi just smiled.
I slowly entered the CEO's office and walked to the table. I couldn't see the CEO because her chair was turned, its leather back was only visible.
