Chapter 3: The New Student

"Sino yan mom?" pakunwaring di ko kilala si Dane

"Hindi ba dapat kami ang nagtatanong nyan?" sagot naman ni papa.

Dane slowly walk towards me. Now he's so close to the point that that I can barely breathe.

I woke up catching my breath again. What was that? That was the first time I ever dreamt different. He blocked the dreams about my parents.

"Cleo! You'll be late!" dinig kong sigaw ni kuya mula sa baba.

I walk downstairs with my complete uniform. Mom and dad left already, and as of kuya of course he will always wait for me. I though everything was a dream pero sabi ni kuya binuhat daw ako ni kuya Daniel papasok.

Maybe I was really tired.

Hindi pa ko pumapasok ng classroom ay dinig na dinig ang boses nila Zeus sa buong room. I sat where I'm assigned to. Pinaghihiwahiwalay kami ng professor namin dahil lagi daw kami nagdadaldalan.

"Good morning class! We have a transferee from another country, Please be good to him." Unti unting pumasok ang isang lalaki.

Nung humarap siya ay napanganga ako. He looks good! Bagay sa kanya ang uniform namin. He looked at me with his hawk like eyes. Lumingon ako dahil baka feeler lang ako, pero hindi eh.

"I'm Dane Blaze,"

He really didn't even tell his surname. Is it really possible na wala talagang apilyedo ang isang tao? I don't believe him.

"Sit beside Ms. Fuentabella."

Shit! Sa akin pa pinatabi. How can I focus if my handsome seatmate is staring at me?

"Hello!" I greeted him.

He nodded.

What? That's it? That's how he response on the word hello? So weird.

After recess I left them. I don't need to ask for their permission alam na din naman nila. When I entered the garden I lay myself down on the grass.

Why do I feel stressed and confused? Wala naman akong problema ha? Napatalon ako sa gulat ng maramdaman ko'ng may tumabi sa akin.

"Why are you here?" I asked him.

"Do I need your permission before I enter here?" He sarcastically said.

Now I'm pissed off. I don't like sarcastic people. I closed my eyes to calm myself.

"Don't you want me here?"

The first time. First time he broke the silence between us.

"No. It's just... I'm just curious and confused." I said and opened my eyes.

Tumingin ako sakanya nagulat ako ng nakatingin din siya sakin kaya napaiwas ako ng tingin. That was akward.

"I like peaceful places." Sabi niya.

"Me too."

Nakita ko sa gilid ng aking mga mata ang pag kunot ng noo nya.

"You're part of a band. All I thought you like noisy places like bars, club-"

"It's not noisy. Ang music ang dahilan kung bakit ako nabubuhay ng masaya." I cut him off.

Yes it's true. Music makes me happy. I mean my family also makes me happy but not always because they don't have enough time to spend it with me, with us.

"By the way, Why did you disappear that night?"

"What do you mean?"

Did I really hallucinate? But it wasn't normal for me. I never hallucinate. I know what I saw! I'm pretty sure he's lying.

"I saw you last night, outside the bar."

"I don't go to bar or clubs, Cleo."

Pero nakita ko siya! He was looking at me, Our eyes met that time and he was about to say something but Zeus interrupted.

"Do you believe in supernatural powers?"

It's a very unusual question.

"Like people who can produce fire with their hands... Something like that." He added.

Why is he asking me these questions? Naubusan ba siya ng topic? Maybe he likes reading fantasy books.

"I don't really believe in it unless I see it with my own eyes, or someone will show me."

"Really? Then what if I'm that someone?"

My eyes widened. Is that why he's weird? or maybe may sira lang talaga siya sa ulo. He chuckled and stood up. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin.

"Why are you suddenly asking me this?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just to mess up with your mind. Won't you attend your next class?"

"Nope."

I stood up and walked towards the falls. I touched the clear water as I watch my reflection. The water is so clear that you can even put your make up neatly.

"Ang ganda dito 'no?" I said.

He nodded. He's standing behind me, I feel like he's watching every movie I make.

"How did you find this place?" I asked.

Hinarap ko siya, but his eyes didn't leave the sight of me.

"I know who made this." He said.

Of course kilala ko din! God made nature right? He made it in able to us enjoy the life he gave us. I chuckled and sat on the grass beside the falls.

"Why are you laughing?

"Kasi kilala ko din ang gumawa nito." I said and shrugged.

The shock on his face was too obvious to the point that my own words creeped me out. Why is he shocked? Totoo naman diba? God made the garden where we're standing right now.

"Si God."

He smiled a bit and then laughed.

Why is he laughing? Siguro may sira nga talaga 'to sa ulo. Kung hindi si God edi sino? Siya? Hahaha! Now that's funny.

"God didn't made this little fantasy of yours, Cleo."

Him calling my name gives me goosebumps. Hindi lang ako sanay and his voice is so deep.

"Sino?" I asked with my curiousity.

"It's a secret, but you will meet her soon."he said

May iweweird pa ba siya?

Maaga akong umalis sa lugar na 'yon dahil sakanya.

I think I should avoid Dane. He's too weird. His weirdness creeps the hell out of me. He always makes me think of the things that I shouldn't even have a single concern about.

After a long and tiring day lumabas na kaagad ako sa room. I saw kuya watching me as I walk towards him, pero parang hindi siya nakatingin sa'kin.

Lumingon ako at nakita ko si Dane na nakatingin din sakanya. Magkakilala ba sila?

"Do you know him?" Kuya asked.
