5. everywhere, water

Water is everywhere, even though you may not notice it

It is in the droplets of rain that drip down from the sky in a soothing rhythm

and in the huge puddles that form on the black pavement after a rainstorm

It comes down in a light shower when you shake your umbrella out after a walk in the drizzle of the early morning

and coating the ruby-red skin of a freshly plucked apple when you bite down

It is in the form of dainty snowflakes that fall on your eyelashes in the beginning of wintertime

and coming off the sizzling wool mittens as they dry in the fireplace

It is on your cheeks and nose as you scrub your face after a long day

and dripping from your hair when you step out of a warm shower

It is in the powerful waves that crash loudly on the rocks

and in the pond where the old frog lives
